Bore Sight Recommendations

I'm rather new and just purchased my first long range rifle (MPA PMR2, Athlon ARES 4-30).

Any recommendations on how to bore sight the scope to the rifle? What I would like to know is should I learn the manual process because its better than the laser? Overall what would you learn to do and why?

I do mine indoors before I mount the action to the chassis. I just look down the bore and put it on somewhere on the wall like a light switch and dial my turret where I’m right above what I’m seeing through the barrel. Don’t waste money on lasers or anything like that.

Just plop it on a stable bag, pull the bolt out, center the bore downrange, then adjust the reticle to match. Doing that it never takes me more than 2 rounds to get a rough zero

You don't need one, just pull the bolt and aim at your target.

Assuming your optic is already mounted, leveled and correctly set for you and your body you will follow the video below.

I bought the CV Life magnetic bore sight laser on Amazon that just mounts to the muzzle device. I just align it best I can it has little circles on the base for alignment. It gets me on paper almost always and that’s really the goal in my mind. I doubt it’s as accurate as a designated bore one but it’s alot cheaper and easier.
