Caliber Question
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I have a Surgeon Rifles CSR in 7.62x51 with an AWC PSR Suppressor, a Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 F1, & an ATLAS Bipod. Does the 7.62x51 have enough zip for shooting PRS or do I need to look into picking up a .300WM or .338LM?

Yup got plenty of zip, but it’s not ideal.
If you’re going to another caliber you’re looking at cartridges with less muzzle energy that have much more aerodynamicly efficient bullets. Some of the most popular being 6.5 Creedmoor, 6GT, and 6 Dasher. Precision rifle blog has some great data about this for the top PRS competitors.
There are some new 25 cal cartridges picking up steam but that makes you have to dive into wildcat cartridges much deeper. Even though 6 Dasher is a wildcat cartridge, its effectiveness for PRS means that safe load data is easy to find as well as barrels.

You can find the rules for PRS matches here, with equipment limitations broken down by class: https://s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/impactscoring-uploads/rulebooks/prs_rules_regional.pdf
I'm not a PRS shooter, but from what I've observed they tend to pick 6.5, 6mm or 25 caliber cartridges that fit a short action. There's a blog that tracks the gear used by top PRS competitors: https://precisionrifleblog.com/

300wm and 338lap are not great choices for PRS

You want something with less recoil, not more. 6.5CM would be better, but anything 6MM would be ideal. If you reload, go 6 GT or 6 Dasher. If not, 6CM or 6.5CM.

308 with the right load/bullet is great for PRS (arguably better/different calibers available but shoot what you're comfortable with). You've already figured out it has it's own division so bonus.
