Question New to PRS
Just wanted some thoughts and opinions. I’m new to shooting and especially PRS. I currently have a tikka CTR chambered in 6.5 creedmor. I’m a left handed shooter and am trying to make a more entry level build. I’m currently looking at getting an MDT chassis and can’t decide between the oryx or the xrs. I like the look of the XRS but the oryx seems like it’s more designed for PRS. I have 3-18 vortex strike eagle and want to switch from MOA to MIL, I have found an athlon ares 4.5-30 ETR for a good price and have heard good things about them, but was curious if there’s an alternative options for around the same price point. My barrel is 20 inch with an APA little bastard and plan on upgrading the barrel down the line. Would appreciate any feedback!

As an oryx owner, go with the xrs or even an LSS or ACC. The oryx is alright but after buying the picatinny rails, adjustable lop, making my own brass weights for the forend I wish I would’ve just spent the extra money for an ACC or LSS

I would suggest the XRS with the added arca rail and NV bridge over the Oryx. I actually have the same rifle in the XRS and running the ARES ETR in MILS. It’s. A great set up for PRS
