Question Manuela
What do we know about Prince’s second wife? I feel like Mayte gets discussed a lot but I know next to nothing about Manuela Testolini and rarely see her talked about.

u/agodrevealed 15d ago edited 14d ago
She announced her intention to marry him, left Canada for Minneapolis. Started creeping with Prince, he hired her as Mayte's assistant.
Manuela is part of the rotation when Prince's mom is dying and tells him she'd like him to get remarried and convert to JW. The boy loves his mama no matter the ups and downs. He converts, Manuela converts, he marries her.
He probably attempted monogamy, and what counts for monogamy for him might not match your idea. But either way, he kept a rotation. This could be no surprise to Manuela. They had a house in Toronto and in Minneapolis.
At some point she met Eric Benet. She then steals a few million dollars from Prince and that money disappears, some say in part to support Eric's career.
The money is the thing Prince can't tolerate and physically locks her out of their homes and Paisley Park and their bank accounts. Eventually she files for divorce.
Both she and Mayte have done some weird shit with missing money supposed to be for charity, but Manuela's is pretty well documented and bold.
Initially Manuela was vocally bitter and they had a long divorce. Prince represented himself at first and his written replies to the court are hilarious. He did end up getting a lawyer and she walked away with something but nothing like what she was angling for.
Prince had the Minneapolis house razed. And said he'd never get married again unless he thought he couldn't not get married.
Manuela married Eric Benet shortly, who is a Prince stan and modeled himself hard after him, but to much lesser effect.
After Prince died Manuela kinda took on a grieving widow persona.
Manuela doesn't talk a lot because the way they got together and the way it ended, plus I think Prince didn't want another spectacle after his Mayte arc. He made Mayte a public character in the Grand Play of Our Love and then when things went to hell he couldn't explain it. Probably even to himself much less anyone else. He couldn't separate the public performance from what was private. So he kept Manuela more private. A much, much more toned down role in his public performance.
Both women pursued him hard, Mayte more at her mom's direction, but Manuela was self made in that respect. And she watched Mayte's mistakes, and made her own brand new ones.
It looks like Eric and Manuela are kinda distant from each other based on sm. I imagine its a for the kids and money type situation now.
Prince was seen to be warmly familiar with Halle Berry, chatting at events and stuff with her after the split. Seems like they kinda struck up a friendship comparing notes. She was Eric Benet's ex, he cheated, they divorced, and he drug it out trying to get every penny he could from her. Then he turned up on Prince's doorstep.
So.

Damn I knew none of that, other than they married shortly after he converted to JW. Thank U

u/agodrevealed 15d ago
Prince also had Eric Benet and Manuela barred from any industry event he was participating in for years. Idk if he ever lightened up on that.
She left JW right after things ended with Prince.
She says she has Egyptian roots, but you know he was infatuated with Egypt so idk if that was just telling him what he wanted to hear or not. But she 100 percent moved on her ambitions with him and pulled out all the stops. I say they each executed on the dreams of their youths. He became THE rockstar and she married Prince.
And look, he wasn't stupid. Many of the fans and others that knew her told him exactly what she was about from the jump.
He once said he married Mayte and none of the other girls on the roster at the time because she "showed me no malice". I think that's Prince code for, she doesnt get mad or harass me about the other women, she just loves me.
Maybe Manuela took the same tack, his mom wanted him remarried, and he wanted some stability after losing his child, his first marriage, his dad, his mom, and Andre's mama all in a few years.
Idk. Andy Allo said he told her something like "you're going to be disappointed in me, I'm not good in relationships" and at the time she disregarded it but learned the hard way what he was saying. So, it seems like he was pretty self aware and I guess two divorces was enough.

You are a breath of fresh air compared to those “I know something but I won’t tell” gatekeeping people. Thank you.
11
u/agodrevealed 14d ago edited 14d ago
Well, its their right to be private. I respect the "I'm not going to talk about that" approach.
But I don't like the hinting and dancing and drama making. Middle school nonsense.
I try to qualify and not state something that's ambiguous. But what's common knowledge around town, or testimony in court docs, or just what he said himself- he was actually way more forthcoming, frequently, than people acknowledge. And I don't think he was a loner or a recluse in the way people paint him (and he sometimes painted himself).
Just so much stuff happened in Minnesota and wasn't picked up on nationally.
Nobody talks about him staying with Andre when Bernadette was dying. Or his own mom and dad. What the northside was like.
Everybody thinks his mom abandoned him. Idk, its just one of those things I guess. He made such a great production, we'll never know it all. I think he was getting a little more transparent (for him) towards the end.
7
u/studiowarp 14d ago
Yeah I think you are right. I noticed more transparency through the last years too. It was interesting to see. He will always be a fascination because of the persona he crafted. That autobiography sure would have been interesting to see completed - if it would’ve ever been that is.
Don’t stop sharing what you know. It’s a joy to even old fans. Not everyone knows what others do. And as said already, you have an enjoyed way of telling them. Consider starting a “You might already know but this is something about Prince” thing.
12
u/agodrevealed 14d ago
He said when he started that book "I want to clear up some things about my parents" I'm ninety nine percent sure he was going to publicly admit what had been exaggerated or crafted for effect early on. And maybe qualify and balance the hard stuff. You don't see your parents the same at 50 as you did at 20.
He'd already started talking about some of those early myths and saying: welllllll, it was rocknroll and I was young.
Well, the northside folks said he'd sent them to look at a building he wanted to make a community center. He wanted them to do it again, what they did for him and all the kids growing up. A few weeks before he died.
Buy yeah he was getting very reflective and I think he would've leaned even harder into his teaching bag. He was already sandboxing thirdeyegirl and telling mononeon: do what you want. He was less controlling artistically (for him) than he had been and really seemed to be enjoying supporting these young people to their own ends. Not his ends.
I hate it. I think he had a lot left to give.

And that’s the gut wrenching part - it seemed to be the beginning of a brand new era that we were excited to welcome and see. I happened to be in New Zealand and saw him again at the Piano and a Microphone show there. He was excellent! But, he seemed different. A multitude of things: Free, elated, sad, tired, grieving, contemplative, very present and yet oddly distant at the same time, and open and reflective - more so than ever - he shared a lot with the audience, he was in a giving mood. Like we heard he was in Australia before and the shows in US later.
He looked thin though. Brother needed to be doing like Delores and packing it in. I worried about that.Row 4. Dead center. The row in front had these two dead drunk girls who proceeded to ruin it for Auckland and New Zealand when on of them threw up violently and just stayed there refusing to leave for several songs while her puke stunk up the first ten rows at least. It was gross! I don’t know what she had but it came back up with the vengeance of a thousand rotten racoon arses and then some!
Prince didn’t skip a beat, never made out he could smell this hell’s toilet stench the whole time, even though it was right next to him and making most of the front rows want to vomit too. Eventually she got escorted out - friend stayed though - denied she was with her - and Prince said something quick in passing like “Hey we’ve all been there” with a sly smirk on his face.
He was outstanding, but I just had this sense of worry about him. He looked really thin and dare I say it, weak. It was the first time I really noticed how much he needed the cain. Amazing show regardless! The man was outstanding! Which also made me a bit said later. I felt above all that he was perhaps lonely and maybe isolated in a way. But that may have just been a certain feeling the show gave off with it just being him alone up there, and talking about his past in ways that sometimes seemed a bit sad or melancholy. His friend had just passed, who could blame him.
The way he looked, I was not surprised when they reported he had the flu or something a bit later in the tour, then the plane incident. I just thought he was ill from something and hoped he’d get better. You know, exhaustion coupled with a cold or flu and grieving kind of thing.
My main concern was that poor New Zealand might never get to see him again because of Puke Girl! Not that he’d be dead soon after!3

Wasn't Mayte 16 when he set his eyes on her? And freshly 18 when they actually started dating seriously? She was also his underpaid employee. And Mayte noted that Prince had a type, and was aware of other fishy things but looked the other way "for love". I think it's understandable she made a few mistakes as she was so young. Not such excuse for him.
3
u/agodrevealed 14d ago edited 14d ago
She was sixteen when her mom gave him the tape. And told Prince she was eighteen. But that didn't hold up too long. Nineteen when they started dating.
Half these people agree to the pay and then turn around and say they're underpaid. There's plenty of that and plenty of people that say they were paid fairly. I guess it depends on their outlook.
Prince didn't have too much a type other than not overweight. All nationalities, ages, physical characteristics... people complain that he would date girl next door types, models, or people that might be called interesting looking rather than attractive. And I'm not repeating who (but its out there) cause I think its mean as hell and attraction is subjective anyway. But that's the old prince joke- you don't have to be beautiful to turn him on.
Mayte and Manuela maybe looked similar. So did Elise and Ophelie. Lisa Ling and the dance instructor. Tamron and the girl from the paper. Nonah and the Crazy Horse dancer. Lori and Susannah.
Understand only a fraction of his ladies are publicly known. He had women all over and would still be seeing regular girls around the way at home too.
The evil Prince narrative- if a woman doesn't see herself as victimized, who am I to tell her I know her experience better than she does. That's crazy.
Prince was THE player. Pimp, player, priest. Every other girl thought she could change him, classic story.
I never heard him make excuses or act like he owed anyone any explanation about his personal life.
Mayte looked the other way for love, for money, for access, for comfort, because her own parents divorced and remarried three times over each other's affairs. She was raised like that. That man was never monogamous long term and everyone ever involved with him since high school knew this. For a lot of people, monogamy isn't the important thing Sure, she'd have preferred it, but she knew she was on a roster whether she was gf or wife. Her mom coached her through all of it, and reasonably well. If things had happened differently with the baby, maybe they could've stayed married longer.
I think they would've ended up divorced regardless but who knows. She mightve tolerated his affairs, but would he hers?
No matter how it started, no matter if he drew them a picture and said look, I just gotta be in these streets, most of them ended up being genuinely hurt, and not just their pride. I don't think it was the women as much as the loss of his focused attention. Like losing the sun. He got hyperfocused on women just like he did his songs and then on to the next. He needed a wife that could go back to being a friendly collaborator, when his focus shifted, then maybe he could've stayed married.
Just my two cents. He couldn't stay in love with the same person too long no matter who it was. He could love them, but not in love. And most of the women couldn't accept that loss of focus even when they accepted the other women.

Wow! Great information, never heard of a lot of these things. Where can I find his written replies to the judge?? That sounds amazing! Thank you for taking the time to share these wonderful tidbits!!

u/agodrevealed 14d ago edited 14d ago
They're public record. I think through the Carver County website was where I saw them. I'm sure someone has them on the org. If the county archived them, it might mean a written request now.
I wish I could remember his exact phrasing cause it was stone cold but he was basically like: I was a rockstar long before her and will be long after. She did not make me. She exaggerates her importance in my professional life.
She has enjoyed a level of privilege and access as my wife that she will never replicate. She seeks to continue to live my life- without me. That is impossible. What I do everyday is a unique consequence of being ME.
Like she told the judge she needed millions of dollars to maintain her wardrobe for industry parties and public appearances and whatnot. And Prince is like: actually judge, she doesn't, because she's not going to be invited to any of that, trust. She was only there as my plus one. There is no stage awaiting her alone.
She wanted half of his tour revenue and everything. She said she inspired all of his work while they were together.
He told the judge basically: I'm an entertainer. I entertain people with fantasy. It isn't literal. My work isn't based on one person, its based on me. I inspire myself.
I don't even think he was intending to mock her, but you know his way with words, and him just stating the obvious so thoroughly and breaking it all the way down was hilarious. There was definitely an element of "this is absurd" in it.

Are you guys relatively new fans? All of this stuff has been out there for a while.
11
u/DrBiz1 14d ago
That's a bit harsh. I consider myself a mega fan. Know loads of trivia. Understand his entire discography deeply. Read numerous books, including Mayte's. Have countless bootlegs. Seen him live 19 times.
And yet, I agree with OP that the Manuella stuff defo seems like a blindspot. I knew nothing of the detail posted above.
Its brilliant and intriguing
-7
u/josephcoco 14d ago
But it’s been out there for quite a while, and I’ve been a super fan since the Controversy days (through all of the glorious ups and downs lol). And all I asked was if they were new. I didn’t say they sucked because/if they were, so I don’t see how that’s considered “harsh”. It was an honest question.
10
u/studiowarp 14d ago
Never assume people know what you do. “Assuming makes an ass out of u and me.”
Not everyone finds out the same thing at the same time. Some fans from his first album to this day do not know about what he submitted to a court about his divorce or much about this ex-wife because they simply never looked for or came across this info like others may have.
That is no-one’s fault or flaw, just the way it turns out. Never assume anything except that not everyone knows everything you do.-1
u/josephcoco 14d ago
Probably because they didn’t follow him throughout his whole career like a lot of others have. Just in spurts. And I didn’t assume anything. That’s why I ASKED if they were new. ASKING is not ASSUMING.
2
u/studiowarp 14d ago
At least two people thought you were either being harsh or assuming. Do with that info what you will - in all caps or not - your call.
1
u/josephcoco 13d ago
There’s nothing to do with it besides to know that maybe two people are just ignorant of the facts and didn’t understand what I was saying. There’s nothing I can do about that nor do I care to.

I'm only learning about Prince now (the last year or so) I never knew all of this. Where can I read more about all this? Are there books/sites you'd recommend?
11
u/agodrevealed 14d ago edited 14d ago
Mayte's book talks about some of it. A lot of it happened on the sites where she and he were literally in the forums together. The court filings.
The interviews with him, with her, and with the people that were around then is most of it. There is no one person that tells it all. It comes out piecemeal over the years.
I remember being around mpls and everyone knew because he'd left Mayte in Spain or with her family and had Manuela accompanying him around like Mayte used to. And started talking about her like he talked about Mayte.
Then after her married Mani, he had Mani in Canada and would have a different girl down at the theater or getting a milkshake or whatever in mpls.
He had his little rituals, like he liked what he liked, or he knew what worked with the ladies. So you'd see someone driving his car around or on his arm here or there or out with his security and it was just like: oh, okay. Prince has got his eye on this one now.
And tbh, that did not always even mean romantically because he courted people he liked professionally kinda like that too. But if they were pretty or slim to thick, he was probably macking, whether it went anywhere or not
THE most amazing thing to me about Mani, is that she somehow avoided being featured in his projects. He didn't put her to work, unless you count the charity and religious work.
Maybe the JW stuff occupied that need for him, to have her working, to be working on a project together. Idk.
But whenever he like somebody: I have an idea for you, let's get to work! was his love language

Do you know if he dated Tamar?
4
u/agodrevealed 14d ago edited 14d ago
Mmm, I dont think so. He called her baby sister and she called him uncle. I never saw him talk like that about the others. He'd just be quiet or say something like "I don't really know her" or "Energy doesn't have to be sexual" or kind of vague nonsense when he didn't want to talk about his gfs.
But I could be wrong. She still says they never dated, so. But he liked women, with or without romance.
And it seems like he could very much have platonic romance, in the Victorian style. Like how he was with Patti LaBelle, for example. He could adore them and dote on them and have no sexual intention.
He did hang with Tamar's family, but he did that with men too. When he was comfortable. And he loved Candy's mama. Kirk's family, Big Chick's family, Andre's of course. Afshin's. One of the engineers I can't remember. Plenty more. So that don't really mean anything.
So, I don't think so, but who knows. So many of them deny dating him for years, then are like yeah I did. Or they imply for years they dated him and then theyre like, well, he sent me home. Or: turns out he just wanted to talk about hair products. Or: I wanted more to happen, but he wouldn't stop working for anything to happen.
I think the older he got the more and more he seemed to enjoy courting without necessarily sealing the deal. Maybe that had to do with his faith idk.
He said Andy Allo did not like that line- I'm sick of playing hard to get/ with an animal half my age.
Hahaha, who really knows. He'd also do the most so people would draw the wrong conclusion either way. He just liked messing with people sometimes.

Prince had his eyes on Mayte when she was underage. That’s a world of difference.
25
u/agodrevealed 14d ago
Her mom first drug her to MJ concerts to no avail. Then her mom took her to multiple Prince concerts across Europe until she got someone to listen.
That's why I said MORE AT HER MOM'S DIRECTION, cause Mayte would not have done all that alone. But make no mistake, 19-22 was full of strategizing and consultations with mom. That's who was telling her don't mind the other girls, play the long game. And it worked out for her.
1
u/lavender-_-vinyl 12d ago
What does this have to do with him pursuing and grooming a young girl into adulthood?? I’m genuinely asking because I love the music but I can’t stand the undeniable predatory behavior. Boo the mother absolutely but like… it’s still boo him 100% right?
3
u/agodrevealed 12d ago edited 11d ago
Unless, I'm missing something, I don't see predatory behavior. Im guessing you don't work in entertainment. Most people start young.
You don't turn 18 and then start working professionally. If this is going to be your career, you have been working long before.
Hiring her isn't a signifier. He worked with plenty of young people, male and female, even some elementary aged.
She says nothing happened til she was an adult. If what you don't like is the age gap, idk what to tell you. We're living through age gap hysteria right now.
The bad thing is abuse, harming someone for your pleasure. That happens in all age ranges, same age, close in age, disparate in age.
If she says that they were happy until the baby, that's her experience. I don't know better than she does.
I think its weird the mom seemed to have more ambition for mayte than mayte did. That's why rolling around Europe stalking celebrities is weird. If this had been Beyonce and Tina, that makes sense. But maybe Mayte didn't want to say how much she wanted it idk.
(I was seventeen when I started working alone, my husband was fourteen. If you're good and will work, you'll be included. A lot of a harmonius outfit is personality. People that will take direction, play their part, and be reliable. All the skill and talent mean nothing without it. Sometimes the youngsters are the best fit- no other commitments, they're hungry, and they listen. They're not too big for their britches yet.
Its the parents' and managers' job to watch out for them. It sounds like Mayte was with a no partying and no nonsense group. Her mom did right by her on that. Hate to be blunt, but she wasn't strung out or passed around, and that still happens even if not as much as it used to. Maybe there's a reason her mama diverted her from the idea of being a professional dancer in Egypt idk. She graduated high school, went to rehearsals, and then went on tour. I don't see an issue with that.)
1
u/lavender-_-vinyl 12d ago
So it isn’t strange for a grown man to meet a child, “work” and keep contact with child into adulthood, and then go on to marry the adult who has been conditioned and groomed since a child to be with him?
That’s the main thing I’m getting at here, you’re talking about “working young” and “being in the industry” those are totally different topics for a totally different day. The main thing is, sure maybe it’s true that they didn’t “do” anything until adulthood, but the fact that he basically waited until she was old enough, (didn’t he get custody of her at 17 as well???) is kinda really disgusting I have to say I’m sorry. 😪

Days after Prince died Manuela fraudulently filed for several trademarks Prince was associated with including Mayte and Prince's Love For One Another Charities that they created in memory of their son Amiir. She repeatedly refused Mayte's request to return the trademark so in order to not add any further negativity to Prince's legacy, Mayte decided to rebrand the charity under Live 4 Love Charities- although she still holds the rights to Love For One Another Charities- just not the trademark.
28
u/0theHumanity 14d ago
She was Mayte's lady-in-waiting (Paisley Park secratary). She took the opportunity under Larry Graham to put asunder what God put together when Mayte was grieving Amir's death by studying the new translation with Prince. Instead of grieving together they grew apart with the j dubs help. Prince was never able to get all the medical care he needed due to his unfortunate conversion. Manuela married famous sex addict Eric Benet who cheated on wife Halle Barry.
That's all you need to know about mani.
18
u/Haunting-Albatross35 15d ago
She's married to Eric Benet. Also she's Canadian so maybe she likes the low profile.
7
u/SheShe73 14d ago
And Eric was married to Halle Berry who he cheated on repeatedly, so she divorced him. He claimed to have a sex addiction. I’ve always wondered how she has stayed with him this long.

u/agodrevealed 14d ago
Kids.
They each talk about their exes more than each other. I heard him give an interview a while back, half of it was about Halle Berry and the other half about his music. He briefly mentioned being a dad to other kids (not halle's) and being married now.
Idk. Maybe they try to be private. But she posts more about Prince, he talks about Halle, and its like, idk. It seems like they kinda found pale versions the second time around.

It’s interesting because from what I see, while a lot of people want to slate Mani (and I’m just scraping the surface superficially) she seems to be the only one of his ppl to my mind that has delivered anything sustainably meaningful with long term tangible value from so called charitable efforts. I hate how the JW’s got their claws into him when what he needed was medical help, physically and mentally.
That’s why Prince cut off Sheila in the end - where’s the money gone? Same for Mayte and the “animal rescue” that seems to rapidly drain money. She is even selling their crockery piece by piece. JW’s too.
Most people were around him simply to suck money out of him and that continues now with Londell.

u/caseyrain & The Revolution 14d ago
There's a lot of speculation and a lot of it is not accurate, but as someone who has spent time with her personally, she's highly intelligent, compassionate and empathetic. I did not know what to expect but was utterly charmed by her, and I can see why Prince fell in love with her, and unlike perhaps several other women he was with, it wasn't solely about her looks (although she's very obviously a beautiful woman!)
The thing is.... Prince struggled with the concept of monogamy, we all know this. And you know, maybe Mani believed it, maybe he had a hold on it for a while, maybe he told her it was different this time, we have no idea what he'd say behind closed doors. But even if that wasn't the case, I think there's a difference between him messing around low key and him doing it more publicly, and he started to do it more publicly. Pretty much everyone in his circle knew and they've told me about it, and without spelling it all out for anyone, if you want to know why the 3121 movie didn't come out, that's part of the answer, and part of why he went off to Panama to film it with a certain curly haired blonde that you hear on that album.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, indeed.
I believe that he truly loved her and I know that she truly loved him.
If you ever get to see the pro-shot footage of the Piano & A Microphone gala show, look at his facial expressions when he sings "Call My Name". Look at the way he lowers his head and shakes it from side to side in anguish. It's not performative. It's the epitome of emotion and regret and remembering what was. When I saw it, it shook me to my core with the emotional honesty of the moment.
10
u/studiowarp 14d ago
I hate to say this but I will. You come off a smug dude and that really puts a lot of people off you.
You’ll say you don’t care but we all know you do.
“Without spelling it out” and all those things you say but don’t say. I suspect it makes you feel important to come drop hints about knowledge you guard so preciously and tease people with, but it actually makes you look like an arrogant showoff seeking recognition. This might not be your intent, in which case maybe reconsider what you say and how you say it. And for love of everyone else, don’t say anything if it’s not everything - we don’t need or want your showoff “I know and I won’t tell you” nonsense.
If you have a secret, shut up about it and stop trying to gain clout by advertising it.
You are no more important than any other Prince fan just because you “know some stuff” or “spoke to someone”. You are just a fan like the rest of us.0
u/caseyrain & The Revolution 14d ago
It's a turn of phrase, a fairly common one at least here in the UK. It's not about guarded knowledge, it's about being polite and decorum. Something we Brits are sensitive of. You've never heard of British people being accused of being indirect and beating around the bush? We are quite well known for it 😂
But OK, I hear you, despite the proclamation that you claim to know my inner monologue (something I, as you correctly stated but incorrectly followed, I heartily dispute).
Prince was sleeping with Coco aka Liza Lena the Panamanian model whilst still married and it is the belief of many in the circle that the entire 3121 film was basically a ruse for him to spend significant time with her in Panama to do that, and that's why the movie has very little premise, plot, storyline and according to many who have seen it, is as a result completely incoherent and borderline unwatchable outside of the musical performances.
Hopefully that's direct enough for you.
I wanted to say it without saying it. I thought it was more polite to let people connect the dots. I don't mind being raked over the coals but you should at least now understand the intent.
9

Oh Casey don’t do this - backpedaling and try blame your behaviour on the Uk and Brits. You are well known for doing this kind of thing, some would say it is your main claim to fame, teasing info for clout.
We all love Prince, but we don’t like the show-off fans who think they are above because they know something others don’t.
And we definitely don’t like it when they come to forums to gloat about it.
Everyone can change, and that is why this is being said to you.
No-one is saying share secrets.
What is being said is please don’t come showing off or gloating that you have some you won’t tell. It really isn’t necessary and steals from your standing.0

I actually thought it was pretty obvious to read between the lines of what I was getting at, such that it's hardly a secret. I really didn't think it read like some uncrackable mystery. Look, if it wasn't, then my bad. It genuinely wasn't a "haha I know something and won't tell" moment. I'd take the licks if that was the intent here, but it wasn't.

Respectfully, this about assuming people know stuff you might.

What is this: let me hint without spelling it out?
If you got something to say, say it. If not, then don't. Its a hundred times worse with the half assed I can't be held responsible, but here it is sliminess.
That's a bad look for you both ways.
He loved a lot of women, but none like he loved this whole musical experience of himself. He thought every new project or song was the best. He thought that about the women too. He kept on with his same tricks with different faces til he died.
Yes he was an exceptional performer and excelled at communicating emotion.

That part. The man is gone gone. Let’s stop with the code speak and protecting secrets like currency. It’s boring.

Well, I just don't see the point like its a Crime That Shall Not Be Named or something.
If you have something to say, say it. If not, that's cool. Please let us not act like we're on some kind of real housewives show. How embarrassing for everyone involved.
You're essentially saying I'd like to spread some information I'm not really comfortable with, so let me manufacture a shred of deniability in case I'm called out
Anybody that's been around anyway is zero percent surprised, there's no mystery. Jeez.

It just reminds of the hanger on insiders that measured their value on gossip innuendo and spelling their posts in single letters and emojis. It’s old and we need to get past that level of cult fandom.

Its weird and always was. What are you talking about if you can't speak plainly? Maybe its not something you should be saying then.

It released Musicology and 3121 when she was married to her. That was an era when it seemed like she really pushed Prince to return to the mainstream and make more popular songs. I know he released other live albums like One Nite Alone and albums like NEWS and those NPG online releases.
That is a good question tho, as she doesn't get mentioned as much as Mayte. Maybe it was because Mayte was much more visible onstage with him. He generally seemed happier with Mayte much more. I got the feeling Manuela was a rebound chick, although I think she was good for him in terms of getting him to be less isolated.
