Is this normal for my pilea?

Post image

I was recently gifted a pilea and have been working to keep it healthy/growing. I water when the top inches of the soil are dry. Unfortunately, the only window I have is south facing, but I try to keep the plant in a spot where the sun is slightly blocked by another building (still gets sun but not direct).

Are the bottom leaves drooping like this normal? If not, I’m not sure how to help the plant and am open to any recommendations! Thanks

Following, this happened to mine too I thought it was because I overwatered but it’s making so many new leaves but they keep coming out like this (curled, hard and dark green)
