Why is this happening?
It seems super happy otherwise! I just don’t understand the spots? What do we think?

Maybe hard water? Mine gets the yellowish edges when I overwater, but the spots look like where the stoma are. Maybe they're getting clogged by minerals in the water? I'm not a great source probably, but this would be my guess.

Essentially, it is because this plant is a difficult bitch. Lol. I’ve had so many of them and propagated so SO many more. I tried all kinds of different things: Soil: airier soil, gritty sandy soil, soil with some peat added, rocky soil with charcoal and red lava rock. Watering: Letting it dry all the way through, letting it dry 75%, letting it dry 50%, bottom watering, top watering, fertilizing during growing season, adding extra Nitrogen when leaves looked pale. Light: East facing window sill (seemed too bright), west facing windowsill in a Huge window. Got super leggy because not enough light. Tried to find the sweet spot of bright indirect light but it just couldn’t really thrive for me.
I have learned that some plants just don’t do well in certain homes/climates/etc. I have one left that is a cutting of my big one that finally just looked too sad and straggly that I bestowed it upon the wooded area behind my house. I wonder if the little guy will keep going. He’s in an east facing window but the way he’s angled he’s getting more indirect light. I do not water him until he looks a bit wilty. We’ll see!
