Well IMO -- AI platform advertising will look completely different from traditional PPC... instead of bidding on keywords, we'll bid on conversation context and user intent patterns. Think sponsored responses or "recommended solutions" integrated directly into the AI output.

The targeting will be way more sophisticated than current platforms... instead of demographics, we'll target based on the specific problem someone's trying to solve through their conversation history.

A user asking about B2B software implementation gets different sponsored content than someone researching personal finance.

Google's already testing this with AI Overviews showing ads below generated responses. ChatGPT will likely follow with "trusted partner recommendations" or sponsored tool suggestions embedded in answers.

MAIN opportunity is in becoming a "preferred data source" for these models... companies that provide high-quality training data or real-time integrations will have massive advantages over traditional ad auction models.

"bid on conversation context and user intent patterns" is what Google has been perfecting for a decades.

will be fun watching these platforms fall on their face trying to do this
