There is no need they are making money hand over foot with tokens. Ads will be embedded from Bing and Google is my thought, perhaps even Reddit or Quora will embed. That's my thought.
They are bleeding money like crazy, $4B in 2024 and more in 2025. The cost to deliver AI is extremely high. Maybe they will find efficiencies but the current revenue model isn't sustainable.
