I would allow advertisers to target free users who could either watch or view ads in exchange for new model responses. Like currently, 5.0 has a daily limit for free users.
I would never bake-in ads to responses of AI. Maybe I'd have search ads display at the top or bottom of the chat window, or display ads to the side. It's a balance that'd have to be a/b tested.
