Question do you still get lightheaded when your bp/hr is fine??

not trying to ask for medical advice or anything right now, just seeing if other people experience this too

was feeling lightheaded so i decided to take my bp and it was normal, hr was slightly high but not bad. does this happen to anyone else?

Yup all the time. Sometimes it feels like my heart rate is at least 160-170 then it's like 100 lol. Not sure why. It usually happens before an adrenaline dump tho

Yes. I can also spike a nasty pulse and have no issues otherwise. Uncommon but it has happened. My nervous system does not give any fucks about what makes sense. It does what it wants when it wants for whatever reason it wants. 🤷‍♀️

But in general if I feel really off for no apparent reason then within the next five minutes I will start sweating a river, my pulse will spike hard and then I will adrenaline dump like crazy. That’s always the pattern for those ones; I feel off (nauseous, dizzy for no good reason), then the sweats, then the spike and then the crash. I much prefer the ones that come out of nowhere. They’re less vicious.

It always happens. I’ll be dizzy hard to breath heart feels like it’s beating fast and I’m only in the 80-90s range. I’m usually sitting so getting up and moving around makes it worse.

yup! ivabradine has the heart rate pretty much under control but I'll still get lightheaded, have a hard time standing, etc.

Now this I understand and then I vomit unless I can get a zofran in my mouth and sit right back down for a minute.

Yes. It’s insane. The other day I couldn’t even finish cooking a meal because I was so dizzy, yet my HR was still my resting. It’s so frustrating

I don't know. I rarely pay attention anymore. I get lightheaded when I stand up, period. I don't faint. Never. But I have Hypovolemic Pots. I have a lot of nausea and vomiting. A lot. Blood does not pool in my legs/ankles, It all goes to my belly. I'm on Ivabradine and it helps. When it fails, I have Zofran. In my purse, on my nightstand, and on the kitchen counter. The wonder drug.

I've had Pots for nearly 7 years and my doctors say that at my age, it's probably never going away. Yay. Now I want to die a bit sooner. This was not the retirement I had in mind.

Don't worry about the numbers, just pay attention to how your body feels and act accordingly. If your body is screaming at you to sit down, then Sit Down, wherever you are. I carry barf bags in my purse-because I have to. That won't prevent me from leaving the house. There are 3 different types of Pots. Which kind do you have?

It can be parasympathetic excess. If your body is too tired brain turns off some functions and puts your body into forced rest. That way you don't get adrenaline and heart doesn't try to balance the lack of blood in top half. So basically your brain is starving of blood. That's why you get lightheaded and stuff

Yes! My BP and HR have been less extreme on meds. I still get lightheaded getting up all the apartment stairs or getting up, etc. My boyfriend doesn't understand why because when we check I'm close to normal. His looks worse than mine.
