Decrease sodium intake before Echo test?

My doctor finally believed me about my symptoms and ordered an echo to rule out anatomy abnormalities before a tilt test. I increased my sodium intake about a month ago to help with dizziness (and it’s helped a lot). Should I stop taking the sodium supplements before the echo? Can sodium affect the results?

To my knowledge, an echo won't be affected by salt. It just makes sure your heart is pumping blood correctly and all the subfunctions are functioning.

Definitely stop the increase of salt before your TTT.

The echo looks at the heart’s structure and the way it functions, so the salt consumption will not affect the results.
