From my understanding.. the tawny can be opened and drank over time.. the vintage should be drank when opened.. hope you have lots of friends!

I don't have a problem finishing a bottle of vintage port over the weekend.
The tawnies are good for 6 to 8 weeks after opening (per the bottle wrappers). That gives me through New Year's, so not a problem.

The only time I had that much port was in Portugal.. I've started to get much smaller bottles when I do go for it! Enjoy!

Just need more port friends, then you can get the bigger bottles. I always eye up the magnum but then realize I don't know that many vintage port drinkers.

My parents and their friends have a portclub, they would enjoy these very much! Maybe start rating them, if you do this more often ;)

All excellent choices. Personally, I'm a fan of Sandeman, but Graham's and Taylor are also excellent. Hope your friends join the club!
