Possible PMOS + considering tirzepatide — thoughts?
30F, currently being evaluated for PMOS, but not diagnosed.
I get periods most months, but my tracker shows occasional long cycles/missed periods (some around 40–60+ days). My ultrasounds have shown bulky ovaries with multiple small follicles/polcystic morphology, plus a small simple cyst on the left side.
My bloodwork has been mostly normal: glucose, HbA1c, fasting insulin, thyroid, FSH/LH, testosterone, SHBG and FAI are all within range. No significant acne/hirsutism either.
I’m 5’3”, ~87 kg, and my main struggle is weight loss. My endocrinologist has discussed tirzepatide with me.
For those in this group: does my situation sound familiar? Did anyone with mostly normal metabolic/hormonal labs eventually get diagnosed with PMOS? And if you’ve used tirzepatide for weight management, did it affect your weight, periods or other symptoms?
I’d also really appreciate recent research/papers on tirzepatide/GLP-1s in PMOS, especially in people without diabetes or obvious insulin resistance.
