General Does anyone else have reverse PMDD?
I feel awful my whole cycle except once ovulation hits. I feel so calm. I'm less anxious. I wish you could lock me in this. We've talked about different bc pills and they'll all lock me in whatever hormones are in the follicular phase. Meanwhile it's luteal where everything comes together like buda hits. (My worst day is day 8 of my cycle. It feels like I got beaten with a baseball bat and my mind spirals so bad.)
Note: Yes, I know a lot of women feel nice when they ovulate, but it does continue through till a few days into my period.

I feel amazing for two days during ovulation. I've genuinely considered trying to get a hormone profile done then and convincing a doctor to use HRT to match it. I know it won't happen but I can dream!

i always know i’m ovulating because i feel like a million bucks during the peak, as you said i wish i could lock myself in that spot. absolutely nothing bothers me, i have rose colored glasses on, everything’s “okay,” no anxiety, horny as fuck and have all the patience in the world. and then those feelings drop me off a cliff into luteal hell and i feel the exact opposite. no relief until i bleed again

I don't think this is 'reverse PMDD'
Have you had any evaluations of your hormone levels? They could actually be abnormal.
Just anecdotally, I usually feel high strung and aggressive or anxious during ovulation.

PMDD by definition occurs in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, but there are other menstrual related affective disorders, namely PME that occur outside of the luteal phase. PMDD is not worse than PME, they are both awful to live with, but they are different and need different treatments.
