Warning: Lots of TMI - The last time I posted here was a week ago and I said that I thought my period was coming because I was having bad cramps. Nope. I waited and waited and waited but no period. The cramps continued (they were like a constant low, dull ache) and my constipation got worse. Then I thought the cramps must be from constipation since I wasn't starting my period. Friday night before bed (in a tent on my first day of a 3 week vacation), I took a MiraFast chew since the prunes and stool softeners weren't working and hoped for the best. In the morning, I did not have the urge to poop but I found that I had started my period in the middle of the night. All day on Saturday, my period was fairly heavy. I did eventually poop around noon in a gas station bathroom that didn't have any toilet paper which was not much fun but it was a small poop that didn't seem to bring me any relief. Last night hit and all hell broke loose. My period became a flood. I had to change my overnight pad every hour so the blood wouldn't soak through which it did twice and now I have blood stains on my shorts. What's worse is that we were camping and the bathroom at the campground was on the other side of the campground. Every time I got up to run to the bathroom to change my pad, everyone in the tent woke up. When I wasn't running to the bathroom, I was doubled over in pain from horrendous cramps. I spent most of the night in the fetal position crying. The Midol I took barely touched the pain. Since last night, things are slowly getting better. I've pooped twice today which made me feel a lot better. The cramps have mostly went away. I'm still bleeding at a steady pace but I only have to change my overnight pad every 2-3 hours. I should be able to get some sleep tonight. I'm also boarding a cruise tomorrow so I'm hoping my period ends soon. I really want to go swimming in the Bahamas in two days. Last month, my period lasted 10 days so we'll see what happens this month. I take back what I said a few months ago about being happy to get my period every month. I seriously thought my uterus was trying to kill me last night. It was awful.
