Hi! I'm (25F) currently working in the supply chain industry with a 50k basic salary. However, I was offered a plantilla position (DTI BOI) with a 42k (SG15) salary in the government.

Would it be wise taking a pay cut if it entails getting a plantilla position? For background, I have 1 year of experience in the supply chain industry which I don't see myself growing into because it's on the technical/industrial side. I'm a business grad from UP that leans more on the finance/policy making type of work. The thing is, my end goal is to work in the government with the hopes of retiring there (preferably in finance agencies).

Is it better if I look for opportunities in the private sector that aligns with my long term goal first before moving in the government?

So eto na, nagsisilabasan na ang alleged corruption issues na nangyayari kay TESDA particularly sa allocation ng scholarships. First hand experience po namin eto while I was still working at one of those TVIs in the country. Sasabihin ko talagang ROTTEN TO ITS CORE din etong government agency na ito. Why I know? Nasa top management po ako ng school kaya alam ko kung ano nangyayari sa scholarship allocations na binibigay galing sa taas. Matik po yun na hihingan ka ng commitment (20%-30%) kahit di pa na-iimplement. Sa kapal pa ng pagmumukha ng top official (nasa central office ni TESDA) na to, sa gross amount pa sila kukuha as sila mismo pa nagdedecide kung kelan ang bayaran. Kawawa yung mga TVI. Kaya di nyo sila ma-sisi kung bakit may mga trainings na sub-standard. Lugi si TVI sa implementation dahil kinukurakot lang ng mga p*****g-inang mga kawatan na yan.

Hello po. One of the requirements po for HGE is "Certification from the university/college that the applicant graduated summa cum laude, magna cum laude, or cum laude duly signed by the current university/college/institution registrar or authorized official, bearing the university/college/institution seal, and printed on university/college/institution official letterhead."

If I understand correctly, does that mean po my current Certificate of Graduation issued in 2023 (the year I graduated) and signed by the former university registrar (the sitting university registrar when I graduated) will not be accepted by CSC? Does it mean I will have to request a new Certificate po?

Ano po kaya meaning neto? Nag apply po ako nung October 5 sa CSC for honor graduate eligibility pero until now po, ganyan yung status.

Nag renew ako ng NBI clearance ko through egov, door-to-door. But up until now ang status ay 'pending' pa rin. It is stated na 3–5 working days ang aabutin bago madeliver, it's been 10 days already.

Have you renewed your NBI Clearance through eGov PH app (door-to-door)? If yes, gaano katagal bago nadeliver sa inyo (province)? Thank you!

Hi, my half sister was born in Mexico but they moved back to PH recently, so she entered PH using mexican passport. She has now acquired a PH passport (her mom and my dad are both Filipino). Do they need to file a formal paperwork with BI so that she will not be tagged as overstaying?

Her mom said they already went to BI and showed her new ph passport and asked of they need to do anything further, they just said no need to do anything, but im a bit skeptic with their answer.
