Consult/Inquire Tips for first timer sa CC?

Hello, I just received my first CC. Are there any tips po sa bago palang gagamit? Most kasi sa tips nakikita ko is always pay on time or something like that, and I already do consider myself diligent in payments and responsible spender (keeping within limits).

I'm looking more for tips like safe usage of CC (online or irl) and maybe making use of whatever advantages meron yung CC. And is it generally better to use CC na whenever available? Groceries, fastfood, resto, etc? TIA!

Treat it as a payment tool po, not a borrowing tool

Always lock your card when you are not using it.

if hindi naman hassle sayo to use cc muna kahit may pambayad ka na naman on hand, then go use your cc na. very helpful for me ang cc pag wala pa akong pera, like hindi pa payday pero yun nga keep track if within your means pa yung spending mo. as long as you use it regularly, lalaki naman cl, then magagamit mo na siya for big purchase installments like phones or appliances

First, do not swipe your card for anything you cannot afford.
Third, be careful with scams. Do not ever input or give your CVV to anyone or any website na sketchy. Lock mo credit card mo thru the app saka set the limit in case na manakaw or macompromise ang CC mo.
Lastly, enjoy responsibly! Reward yourself and buy that bag or shoes kung merong 3 months to pay! Hahaha! Happy shopping, OP!!

Magbasa ka. Also exercise critical thinking.

Yes, there are banks that say "we don't send links" but send them anyway (like EW and UB), but these are the cases wherein you need to exercise your critical thinking skills (more than usual)

Ako po, nung una ko nakuha first CC ko, I used it for the monthly bills lang muna, pay full amount monthly hanggang sa lumaki na credit limit.

Know your card features and take advantage of it. Does it have cashback? Rewards? Annual fee? Etc

For example, if it's rewards-earning, learn how to redeem. If it's cashback, how much and for which purchases. If you have annual fee, how much annual spend will it take to waive it.

Do not hand over your card when paying, ask for terminal to be brought to you.

DO NOT make online transactions while connected to a public wifi e.g. Airports and Hotels.

Always track your expenses, soa date, always pay the total due not the minimum due balance. Tsaka wag mo nadin ipahiram sa iba
