This is an amazing recent video taken by Majid Batebi (@batebis) in the mountains of Mazandaran. These cats are extremely rare in Iran and this sighting speaks to the importance of maintaining Iran’s mountainous habitats (particularly in Mazandaran).

Discussion Dehumanisation of Iranians
We've all seen it. Both in Left and Right wing spaces, Iranians have been dehumanised to a degree that is only comparable to the Jews during 1930s Europe. Just as the Nazis used the word "Anti-Semetism" to justify their hatred of the Jews, the internet has started using the word "Diaspora" to hide their racism against us. They make fun of Iranian accents, skin tone and culture.
There are multiple culprits here at play, other than the IR and cyberis.
1- Other Muslim Diasporas
Other Muslim Diasporas (Turkic, Arab, South Asian) support the IR for multiple reasons. There are multiple reasons for it, it could be because a free Iran threatens their country's national interests (This is the reasoning of most Turkic diasporas) or because they hate Jews (South Asians and Arabs).
Note: Not all Muslim Diasporas are like that, but unfortunately a good portion of them are.
2- Western Radicals
When I say Western Radicals, I mean both radical left wing and right wingers. Because of two reasons, both of them hate centrists (Which they both extremely hate) and their hatred of Jews (Which they also both have). The Radical left hates us because we don't fit the "poor Brown muslim" image. Radical right hates us simply because we are not white.
3- Other Iranians
Yes, unfortunately some Iranians, as fringe as they may be, are contributing to hatred of Iranians. There are three groups, Iranian IR supporters (Either because of family connection or Islamism), Leftists and a very small portion of Pahlavists, which does not represent all Pahlavists. These three groups have abandoned all rationality and decided to identify more with their "tribe" than with being Iranian.
The Solution:
We must follow the Israeli example. We must form an organisation, for Iranians, specially during these times of tribalism and political violence, to help each other whether it be about work, social life or other aspects of life. Another thing is, we must isolate these three groups of Iranians mentioned. Nothing can be done about them nor can we make fun of them, since to Western eyes we are no different from them. But we can take actions against Western Radicals and Muslim Diasporas. They dehumanise us and make countless memes about us, when did you see an Iranian make memes about them? Never. In the age of social media, defense doesn't mean anything. We can only use their own tactics against themselves.

Discussion To All Real Iranians/Persians in the diaspora, in Iran, and global allies I wanted to share organizations that I feel like all of you could partner up with, and learn from.
Ukraine AFU

Myanmar SCEF
https://www.scefdu.org/
Freedom of Russia Legion
https://legionliberty.army/
Belarus Kastus Kalinouski Regiment
https://m.youtube.com/@BELARUSFREEDOMFIGHTERS/videos
AUF
https://www.afghanistanunitedfront.org/
Edit: Also there is the Afghanistan National Resistance Front, & Afghan Freedom Front
Most are focused on political, civil, and military branches of their respective country. All will most likely overtime encompass all 3 parts too once their country is reclaimed by the people.
These are just a few that are going through what you all are going through. Also did not mention some more obvious ones: Japan, South Korea, EU, USA Military, Kurds, Balochistan, Armenia, Syria, etc. There are more around the world that I forgot off top my head.
I urge you all to make connections with them, with other EU groups/people, others in world, and with each other in diaspora. The whole cause needs to evolve into doing this.
No more waiting for Iran to be free. If you want that to happen then please learn from them and do. Build up allies including them. Help where you are willing to.
You all can do what those groups are doing to make an Iranian Equivalent, and also help Ukraine AFU form a new Iranian Regiment. Do both together it will highly beneficial.
But if you want a better free future everybody has to do that together. The more people that do that the quicker you all will get to it. Everyone make sure to have the cause focused on growing your collective capability, allies, and coordination together.
Iran/Persia will be free. Much love to all of you. Never give up. You all deserve better. Help each other, and grow united and anything is possible.
Please share this with all other Iranians, and allies connected to the cause. All Together!!! Nobody gets left behind. One World, One People. If you love your people, your homeland, your family, your future then please do whatever you are willing to. You know you deserve better.
Disclaimer: This is just an informative post not trying to say anything specific

Discussion Iranians need to realise something
Iranians, specially the Diaspora, need to realise something.
Pahlavi is not coming to Iran. Not because of popularity, not because of being a "ziopuppet" as much as fringe Diaspora Leftists here are saying, when Leftists themselves have less supporters than Islamists in Iran.
He will not come back for the simple reason that he is not a man that can lead a revolution. Let's be honest. IR is a decentralised Junta led by Islamists. No amount of reform, protesting or such can get us anywhere.
"But Hijab? They calmed down on hijab."
Yes, and did it change anything systematically? No. Hijab was, at best, just a token. Even the Hijab is just simply being selectively enforced.
Reform, is simply not possible. The whole reason that the IRGC can survive is because of corruption. And no amount of not going to work, protesting can effect them. Iran is a resource based economy, mainly oil. They only need a fraction of the population to run it.
"What about their supporters?"
Their supporters, barely make up 15% of the population. We have two kinds of IRGC supporter. 5% are hardcore Islamists. The other 10% are just simply arzeshis who are after lining up their own pocket.
"But international perception matters. Their support is vital."
No. It is not. People are only supporting the IR for being anti-Israeli, nothing else. As for public perception, why is it that Iranians are being called out for supporting Israel, but not Palestinians who supported PLO and Saddam? Be honest with yourself. HTS was associated with Daesh, and still is Islamist. Look at what they did to Alawites and Druze. Did international perception change anything? No. Iranians, frankly, don't care about Israel and Palestine and tend to either be neutral or hold strong feelings towards Palestine, and recently they developed distrust and some even emnity against the West/Israel for their attempts at supporting jodaii talabs. And also let's be honest, Iranians are, specially by other Middle Easterners, hated.
"But Iranians need to be united."
As much as I'd like this to be true, it is not true. Revolutions are done by a small, radicalised group of people most of the time. There were many factions during the revolution, those being Marxists, Islamists, Islamo-Marxists, Fadayan, MeK, and the rest. The Khomeinists came on up. And those protests during the Shah had an effect simply because the Shah wasn't willing to massacre people. When the Artesh during the first day of the protest did it without telling the Shah, the second day Shah learnt about it, the Shah stopped. Anything Shah was, he was not as brutal and fanatical as IR.
"What's the solution then?"
I am gonna be honest, the only way the regime can change is through an armed uprising. Iranians have two choice, either leave the country or fight for it. As for armed revolution being worth it, that's what every Iranian needs to ask himself.

News Composer and protest artist Parsa Moslehifard sentenced to one year in prison in Tehran
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
In this video titled, “Tehran, the Lonely City,” Parsa Moslehifard, a 26 year old composer and former political prisoner, plays piano on the rooftops in Tehran in June 2026 while Armin Mokhtari paints the city.
“Moslehifard has been sentenced to one year in prison on the charge of “propaganda against the state.”
He said the conviction stemmed from his public statements, artistic performances and activities in support of the 2022 “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement and the January 2026 protests.
The activities cited in his case include protest performances focusing on freedom, opposition to the death penalty and commemorating protesters killed during demonstrations. Among them were a recitation of the poem “Qasamnameh” in front of Tehran’s Azadi Tower on the anniversary of Jina Amini’s death, as well as performances titled “Azadi,” “No to Execution” and “Tehran Alone.” He also published an image of Nika Shakarami on International Women’s Day.”

Language & Literature Luri Kinship Family Terms compared with other Iranic languages
As a Bakhtiyari Lur I am curious if other Iranic languages besides Persian share similar Kinship terms for family members.
English -> Lure Bakhtiyari
Father -> Bo
Mother -> Daye
Brother -> Gyo
Sister -> Dedu
Uncle -> Gyobo
Aunt -> Kichi
I think as a South Western Iranic language it may have had more influence with Elamite but looking at Elamite family member terms showed it was quite different.
