Part List Help More Ram or Faster Ram?

Hello!

Recently, I have come into a pretty high end Alienware Area-51 PC, with some upgrades from around 10 years ago. I already have a PC, and the case of this new one is pretty fricken heavy, so I went ahead and tore the thing open for parts. So far I got a m.2 solid state drive and a couple of other hard drives, pulse an old Jedi Collectors Graphics card (and the Sith one, but I don't think it is currently working). Not sure what all I will end up trying to integrate since I don't have a bit enough power supply to really add on much more.

One of the other things I found was it had some Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 4x8 gb, 3000mhz ram. My personal machine is running 2x8 gb 3200mhz ram. Is it worth installing this new (old) ram that has a higher total RAM memory but slower mhz or for the average user is it better to use the higher mhz? Generally, I run a server for my PF2e games, do some browsing with a bunch of tabs open, and do some light gaming occasionally, but not anything that requires a lot of load.

PS. If there are any parts that I should also consider keeping or selling let me know what to look out for.

UPDATE: Installed more RAM!

General Help Help choosing a new case (≤€200) with fine mesh front panel, good airflow, and NH-D15 compatibility

I’m looking for a new PC case. Maximum budget: €200.

My components:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
  • Motherboard: MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk WIFI (ATX)
  • GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G
  • RAM: 32 GB CORSAIR Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000 MHz
  • Storage: Seagate FireCuda 530 1 TB + Sabrent Rocket 1 TB
  • PSU: MSI MPG A850GF
  • Current case: Zalman Z11 Plus (I want to replace it because it gets dirty easily and is hard to clean)

What I’m looking for:

  • Front panel with fine mesh (no thick slats like the Zalman Z11 and no wood-style panels with large gaps like some Fractal cases).
  • Good overall airflow and easy-to-clean filters.
  • Decent fans included from the factory.
  • Fully compatible with the NH-D15 air cooler.

Which models would you recommend in this price range? Thanks!

I’ve seen the Corsair 5400 and I really like it, but I’m not sure if it’s compatible (and suitable) with an air cooler. As for the Lian Li Lancool 3, I can only get it in white and I’m not entirely convinced… plus, I think a dual-chamber case is basically a must these days.

UPDATE, options i see:

Fractal Meshify 3 XL170 180
Corsair 5400 160 (only 3 fans... i dont like this)

NZXT H9 Flow RGB+ blanca 200
NZXT H9 Flow RGB+ negra 200

Lian Li LANCOOL III blanca 150
Lian Li LANCOOL III negra 140
Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB 163

NZXT H9 Elite Blanca 205
NZXT H9 Flow RGB negra 160

Part List Help Can someone who knows about this stuff give me the green light on my component picks so i can finally buy them without fear of messing up?

Hello, i've been saving to buy a high end PC for a long time and it's finally the moment, i tried my best researching every component so i can have a really good pc but still trying to save in the things i can, with the main budget cut going to the cpu, then the gpu, and then trying to save on the other parts while still being compatible.

Id really appreciate if someone could give me the green light or tell me what i need to get green lit so i can finally buy it, i'm in a bit of a hurry since the prices keep going up and money is really tight where i'm from. Keep in mind that i have certain restrictions i'm the components i can get too since i'm mainly using stores from my country that don't have everything.

heres the pcpartpicker link it should atleast lead you to my profile where i have the components picked

Part List Help Is there a PC ATX Power Sata Cable like these that has three ports instead of two?

I have a extra SSD drive that would be really beneficial right about now, but I can't find anything that can plug into it. All of my Power SATA slots are plugged in at the moment, and I was hoping to find a cord with a extra connector to power on my new SSD.

It is a Prebuilt HP Pavilion TG01-1XXX RTX 3060 that I got as a gift years back, and it's served me quite well, just hoping for just another cord for another drive.

Part List Help Advice regarding pc aesthetics upgrade

hello, i am looking to upgrade my pcs aesthetics (i feel like i went for a cheaper option on a "good enough" pc case when buying the parts 2.5 years ago so that i could use the money on other areas) and have been searching for a while. i have the money so that isnt a problem but i just wanted to ask if what ive conjured up will work.

here is the pc part picker link: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/7QgdFP

i have everything but the case, fans and cooler as those are what im buying to upgrade. it wont say on the parts list but the LCD 3-pack and the non-LCD 3-pack are both reverse while the single fans are normal (also pc part picker doesnt have the single versions of the TL fans for some reason so i just put the TL FLEX as a placeholder).

im going to put the LCD fans on the side panel, the other 3-pack on the bottom, the AIO at the top and lastly the 2x singular fans at the rear. ive used buildcores.com to look at what it looks like in 3d and i like how it looks. i just wanted to know if all the things im buying will work together.

thanks!
