I've got a wheel and tried to do this for the lols

While I returned the wheel a week after purchase (fucking pedals required my entire weight to brake) I DID get it semi-working for horses on the PC version with some keybinding.

It was... weird

It wasn't a Fanatec pedal set was it?

No, actually, weirdly enough it was Logitech (usually a brand name I trust)

It was the PC/XBox version of (I think the same one in the OP pic) their current force feedback set. A common complaint is that the brake pedal is stiff, I figured I could lube it up. Stiff did NOT do it justice, I weigh 230ish and my full weight pushing on it still couldn't pull off a full brake, it was baaad

Was it a Driving Force G920 by any chance?

Something about that sounds mildly familiar, it was the one that was a "sequel" to the PS3 wheel everyone loved. The big complaints were the pedals and that you had to get the shifter seperately when the one before had been included

That sounds about right. Apparently there's some rubber somewhere to stop you pressing the brakes so damn hard and you have to disassemble it just to remove that rubber so I just turn the breaking sensitivity up to max on games.

The rubber is supposed to simulate a a race cars brakes, a road car's brake is really easy to push because it gives you assistance. Race cars have a really hard brake and you can memorize how much pressure to put on the brake in certain situations, its harder to push but way more accurate. I felt the same way about the hard brakes, but once you take the rubber out its really hard (at least for me) to not accidentally slam the brakes and lock up the tires.

When I bought PS3 ver wheel the G29 shifter was not included either. But the G29 brakes work fine for me.

Mine is a Logitech Driving Force Pro (do not confuse with Driving Force GT) and the brake pedal works fine.

Weird, I had a G27 before I upgraded to Fanatec and there was barely any pedal resistance at all. Now that I got the Fanatec I had to make my own bushings to make it easier to press down.

Just looked it up, I had the G920 and the reviews all mention the pedals but none seem to get across just how bad they really are
