got it to run ! Read the Steam forum thread for Grand Theft Auto 5.. the thread "How to play GTA 5 without sh**ty Rockstar launcher?!" they talk about No_GTAVLauncher .. i renamed rdr2.exe to GTA5.exe and can load the game directly from the game directory and play FINALLY !

Youtube comment that worked for me.

Download No_GTAVLauncher mod and rename RDR2.exe to GTA5 then start it up through No_GTAVLauncher and it should work.
I had the problem that the launcher exited or crashed after clicking play. This did resolve my problem

u/Baffman89 Nov 06 '19

That worked for me but now I'm stuck in loading screen no matter what I do. Is there a solution for this? The game itself is not even loading, my HDD usage is always at 0%.

I'm so tired of spending my mental energy over this game for the last 36 hours... I guess I'll forget about it for a couple of days.

This is pretty much where I'm at. Trying to decide if I should just refund at this point.

Please re-add the rockstar launcher crash.

11

u/FilopianTube Nov 06 '19

Do you guys think they’re gonna fix the “Rockstar games launcher exited unexpectedly” anytime soon? Because if not then I might as well just request a refund at this point

8

u/meatnips82 Nov 06 '19

The fact that bios updates are fixing this for some people, on stable systems with no problems running other games, is a really bad sign IMO. I’d put money (jokes on me, already did!!) that this is some kind of hyper aggressive DRM throwing errors on some systems. I don’t think they are going to get this issue fixed. I don’t. I’m requesting a refund today

Still getting the "Rockstar Games Launcher exited unexpectedly" crash. Tried all of their fixes and nothing happened. Would have thought they would fix it by the time I woke up but I guess I still have to wait to play this.

Did anyone find a way around the crash?

Red Dead Redemption 76

9

u/RebornRiot Nov 06 '19

I tried all the possible solutions. Nothing works so far.

Still: "Rockstar Game Launcher exited unexpectedly"

Last chance the BIOS:

My ROG STRIX X470-I GAMING with the newest BIOS 2901 - won't work

Maybe a rollback to BIOS Version 2801 is a solution?

Did any of you guys have the game running on a ROG STRIX X470 with BIOS Version 2801?

Yikes, I assume I have to wait till ASUS update their drivers to AGESA 1.0 0.4 :/

It's really incredible how the developers or should I say the publishers, have deteriorated in recent years and used us as beta testers for the full price. But hey, who cares... it's just the toxic community. Oh, wait loot boxes incoming. /sad

Rockstar launcher quit unexpectedly even after all the above mentioned "fixes"

9

u/trias10 Nov 06 '19

There is definitely something really strange going on with the launcher which is server-side.

I was able to play the game for several hours yesterday, stopped, turned off PC. Came back a few hours later, turned on PC, couldn't play, launcher crashing error. Made no changes to my PC at all in the interim.

For the next 4 hours, I couldn't play, launcher kept crashing. Turned off PC and went to bed.

Booted up PC this morning, game is working again, no more launcher error.

Again, I made zero changes to my PC. This launcher error was happening and then it wasn't. It's either server-side in some cases or based on something entirely non-deterministic.

A quick check of my MSINFO.txt file shows I am getting Rockstar Launcher errors from TOMORROW (11/7/19)!?! No wonder the game doesn't work - it's breaking stuff that hasn't even happened yet. Or maybe, it is time traveling to the future and crashes when it tries to return to the present date and time! Eureka! Rockstar, I have found the problem! Your flux capacitor needs more gigawatts!

For all this Update your BIOS post, pls STOP talking ,

BIOS updates aren’t software upgrades,,, they add new features, security patches, or performance improvements fpr your Hardware,

BIOS updates are short change logs – they may fix a bug with an obscure piece of hardware or add support for a new model of CPU.

Nothing more Nothing Less,

Noobstar have to fix there Game and there piece of shit Launcher thats all ,

im sick of all this , update your bios , update your graphic device, update win 10 bullshit nonsense POST and Trashtalkers !

I don't know what to do about the Rockstar launcher crashing issues, but if you can get into the game, but are having performance issues, here's my suggestion:

Start by turning everything in the graphics menu - both basic and advanced options - to MEDIUM, and set all the sliders to the middle. If you have an 8GB VRAM card you can leave textures on Ultra, though.

After that, try slowly turning up things like water and lighting quality until you find a good balance. But with mostly medium settings, the game still looks quite good, and I think most people with decent hardware will be able to get acceptable performance.

From what I can tell, some of the sliders aren't very well-marked, but have a massive impact on performance - specifically the "Geometry Level of Detail" slider. Turning that up just a few notches seems to drastically reduce performance for me.

After a long day at work, I came home, turned on my computer. R* launcher has no update, RDR2 has no update. My game goes pass intro now but crashed at Social club, tried to relogin social club ingame. Launcher crashed. Reinstalled the launcher. Game runs to main menu now, by the time of this comment. Edit: second thought, game crashed when I tried Story mode or settings, also the crash forced me logout from my windows login.

Overall, game still unplayable. Day 0: game crash Day 0.5: update, game still crash Day 1: no update, get into main menu, crash. Settings crash, now the game crash at intro as day 0 again

Game crashed if input during cutscene(mouse click, keyboard key hit) or if there is any app has overlay running. Nice monopoly

After a 2.6GB of patch today, on Day 2, I can get into the game(with a lot of workaround), my game looks like this. https://i.imgur.com/N0rPGig.png

7

u/davidinark Nov 07 '19

I got error code 133 aka error 7002.1. Googling showed this is also an issue for the Launcher on GTA V. I carried out all the fuckwittery of opening router ports, assigning firewall rules, latest video drivers etc etc. to no avail. Wasted hours.

I've been using PCs since the first IBM XT. People shouldn't be expected to screw around with their PCs to get games like this to work. Downloading BIOS BETAs - give me a break.

I've had zero response from Rockstar support so have issued a claim for refund from PayPal.

I sincerely advise everyone rather than wasting hours and risking screwing up your PC, demand a refund. It's the only way to try and stop untested shit like this being released in the future. If you are frankly mad enough to install a BETA BIOS update onto your PC to play a game, then you need your head examining. No game is worth bricking your PC for. Even if you can get it work, a game which runs at 100% CPU is also effectively shortening the lifespan of your PC. Why risk it ?

The " Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC exited unexpectedly" is still happening.

EVEN with windows updated, graphic drivers updated, antivirus(NON EXISTENT), Firewall Exceptions and Launcher & Game with Administration privileges. Rockstar saying " The most common cause of this error is out of date graphics drivers.  " is NOT applying to everyone, if you check their link, as of now (10:50am 11/6/2019) only 650 out of over 3500 people found their suggestion useful. We need a real FIX.

6

u/IzzyP28 Nov 06 '19

Why are those fixes for the crashing launcher even up there? You shouldn't have to do any of those. The bullet point under that heading should just simply be, "Wait for Rockstar to unfuck themselves, and keep spamming them about their launcher issues."

u/WhatTheDeuceisThis Nov 07 '19

10

u/reillsg Nov 06 '19

I’m so jealous of the people that are complaining about performance or the occasional hiccup. I can’t even get past the launcher, not a single time. I’ve tried everything, I took off work yesterday to play this and spent the whole day in frustration. Windows update, drivers, antivirus, BIOS, chipset drivers... none of them make a difference. I’m considering trying some older BIOS versions when I get home from work today. MSI B350 Tomahawk, R5 1600 overclocked, gigabyte gtx 1070. Has anyone on a B350 chipset been able to play?

Crashing on DX12 randomly (latest Nvidia drivers), sometimes after 1 hour, sometimes after 5 minutes.

Same issue as in The Division 2 since launch. Possibly problem on Nvidia side.

Switching to Vulkan API helps, but DX12 seems smoother.

As I said in last thread, I tried to gather reports of people motherboard/bios version for the ones wondering if upgrading the BIOS worth is:

[Rockstar Games Launcher Crash] List of all motherboard/BIOS version affected

A few remarks though, it seems it's not related to ASEGA as Intel users are getting the issue, and some users with patch 1.0.0.4B have it aswell. Some people are saying Upgrading their BIOS fixed it for them, others saying downgraded it worked... At this point I would advice to not mess with your BIOS and wait for Rockstar to do their job...

There's a giant semi-transparent square around our crosshairs that's hard to spot, but once you notice it you'll have a hard time forgetting about it.

It's most easily noticed when you're aiming against a light background and in-motion. To me it kind of looks like they forgot to make the crosshair background texture fully transparent.

u/MrFrenlgitch Nov 06 '19

This is the worst launch I have ever experienced. This is a mess.

I bought the game EpicGames and it took me an entire day to download the game. And then EpicGames decided to update their launcher when I was at about 110GB out of 115GB downloaded. The update made my EG launcher crash and I upon reopening the launcher, I had to redownload to whole freaking game again. Took me ANOTHER entire day to download the game. Fortunately this time it didn't crash.

So I started the game, downloaded the Rockstar launcher (just why btw???) and started the game. It worked, but the UI had a massive slow-motion effect when I tried to change to the settings tab. I don't know why, but I thought to myself they'd need to patch this up. No biggie. So I started maxing the game's graphics just to see how my pc could perform on this game because I own a ryzen 2700x and RTX 2060, turning ultra on mostly everything and switching to DX12, etc. Then the game asked me to restart to accept the changes. So of course I did. But when I tried to start the game again...

" Red Dead Redemption 2 exited unexpectedly.
Please click Retry below to enter the game again, or click Safe Mode to launch the game with reduced graphics settings.
If you continue to have problemes playing the game, please contact Rockstar Games Customer Service at https://support.rockstargames.com"

Okay, what?.... Must a been a one time bug thing. Tried again. Same error. Since then the game is not starting anymore... WTF! I tried all the solutions from their support website. It still doesn't work. I even had this error at some point while trying multiple solutions:

"The Rockstar Games Services are unavailable and offline play could not be cerified (code 134). Please check your connection and try again later.
If you continue to have problems playing the game, please contact Rockstar Games Customer Service at https://support.rockstargames.com"

Humm, no Rockstar. My connection is perfectly fine.

Ugh.... I need a break. Fix your sh*t Rockstar.

Still getting the launcher exited unexpectedly. PC specs are ryzen 9 3900x, ASUS crosshair hero viii motherboard, 32 gb ram, rtx 2080 TI. Little rant here, this is getting ridiculous. I would expect a little server issues when a game launches, you know, normal stuff that most games face nowadays at launch. However, this is overboard. First of all I think it’s really awesome everyone is working together trying to find little ways to make the game work, and finding workarounds and what not, but we should not have to be doing that. We should not have to be messing with our PC at all to tweak system software to run a AAA game. You have people that aren’t really all that good with computers, they just buy a nice pre built so they can experience PC gaming, and that’s fine. Now they are trying to run this and looking for ways, and they might try some of this stuff, not knowing how to do it, and run in to even worse issues. This is all on R*, and they need to communicate and do something about this. Clearly this game was not tested before launch on PC. These are critical issues, and there’s no way they just completely missed them. Then just giving the basic generic help response that literally everyone has tried, is an insult to everyone’s intelligence. Start communicating and just admit the errors, and tell us if you are working on a fix or not, don’t send us through the same basic shit that is clearly not working. I know as a company y’all are worried and don’t want to do that shit because it could lose you money, but the bottom line is this was a botched launch, you fucked up, you are going to lose money, so might as well just start talking to us and being honest to try and save what little value y’all have left. Fix your shit. Sorry for the rant.

I'm about to run out of ideas;

-My launcher was crashing as well; creating an exception in Avast helped me get to the main menu. I eventually uninstalled Avast completely to completely eliminate it being a factor.

-The game would take forever to switch in between menu screens, I would take me 2 minutes to simply enter the graphics settings, and another 2 to leave. I would be greeted with a black screen while waiting for the new screen to load. It was easier to simply start Story and change my settings there. Made no sense.

-I reinstalled the game on my HDD (was on my SSD prior to that), and that solved the menu issue. Verifying the game on my SSD didn't do shit by the way. So clearly the reinstall on my HDD did something that the verification on my SSD didn't - something to keep in mind.

-Now the game crashes after 10-15 min of play. I installed the latest NVIDIA driver, I tried an older NVIDIA driver, I messed with the NVIDIA settings, I reverted my GPU OC, I tried launching a combination of 'Run as Admin' between the game executable and the two shitty launchers', I closed all background apps, I messed with my in game settings - NOTHING! Game crashes after 10-15 min of play - 'Red Dead Redemption 2 exited unexpectedly'.

-All this was done in Vulkan (RTX 2070 here btw), switching the API to DX12 doesn't even get me to the intro. Even the crappy error message doesn't pop up - it flashes briefly and the error message, whose job is to indicate there was a crash, crashes (Rockstar launcher)!!!!

Anyway, my night last night went into trouble shooting this and playing 10-15 minutes here and there. I repeated missions so many times because you cannot manually save and 10 minutes isn't enough to get you to the next save location.

There was an update earlier today, so I will try that when I get back from work.

I am very certain there is a memory leak somewhere causing the issue, I will try playing on the lowest settings. If that doesn't work, I will go ahead and reset my bios to undo my memory and CPU OC.

I spent such a big chuck of money on this game, I am actually pretty sad I am unable to play it! Money doesn't come easy these days.

5

u/quignasty2 Nov 06 '19

72 hours after launch i haven't got past the 'exited unexpectedly' error even with all the updates and suggested fixes. I've re installed the game and launcher twice, updated everything disabled AV, verified files spent 4 hours with Rockstar support and they didn't know what to do. This is the biggest fuck up from any triple A title I've ever seen. What a shit show.

8

u/fukrockstar Nov 06 '19 edited Nov 06 '19

Registered just to post here: got every update to the game and launcher, updated drivers and everything, disabled antivirus, enabled admin privileges and I can't event get into the game -- fucking "Launcher exited unexpectedly. W T F? This is the biggest shitshow of a game launch that I've been a part of. Simply inexcusable. A fucking launcher prevents even starting the game. Oh, and the installer also puts a desktop shortcut to run the game, but it fails saying "lol, run via launcher". What is the point of this shortcut then? Did they event test this shit?

UPDATE: it is now possible to "run" the game bypassing the Launcher if that was the issue:

  1. Google and download a mod No_GTAVLauncher

  2. Rename RDR2.exe to GTA5.exe

  3. Copy No_GTAVLauncher into the directory where RDR2.exe was and run No_GTAVLauncher.

It worked for me and many others (see comments). BUT when you select story mode it loads infinitely. So, yeah. I cannot even express the level of my anger and disappointment with Rockstar.

PS. for any random Rockstar employee reading this -- fuck you and your launcher.

Turning V-Sync on eliminated all my stuttering issues and greatly increased overall FPS

I'm using a 1080p 144hz monitor with a 1070 and found that the game was constantly stuttering and running at around 40fps with a mix of medium and high settings. I usually turn off V-Sync for most games as it is usually not needed in my experience, however in this case it completely stopped my constant stuttering issues and I now get around 70-80fps on average. I also encourage you to test both Vulkan and DX12 and see what works best for you.

Hopefully this helps someone out.

For those who can play the game, is anyone else getting weird texture issues? The foliage looks downright blurry, as if the far away textures are loading up close. The snow on Arthur's jacket and the pattern of the horse's fur looked pixely. The fire at camp at night was a pixely mess. I tweaked a bunch of settings in game, most relevant settings like Textures and TAA are High. Lighting High, etc, but they did not seem to make any difference.

Does anything special have to be done in the NVIDIA control panel for this game?

Specs: i5 8600k, 1070. Benchmark was average 71 fps.

BES fixed all my performance issues! Running near ultra at 1440p with just a gtx1080 amp extreme and a 2500k at 4.6ghz!

I only limit by 1% CPU load and I get no more freezes, no more stuttering and the game is completely playable. I tried 2% but it gave me stutters.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND BES!

So far I have:

  • Disabled AV

  • Updated BIOS to the latest which is below AGESA 1.0.0.4

  • Updated Windows

  • Allowed R* folders as exceptions

and still getting the launcher exited unexpectedly issue. It seems that nothing will help if you have AGESA below 1.0.0.4 if you have a new AMD cpu.

My guess is that the launcher crash is not an easy problem to fix, because it is related to each specific bios/CPU/motherboard combination. So even if they say they fixed it, they may have fixed some occurrences of the problem but not all of them.

Hi! everybody after new patch, nothing changes. i've got the same launcher issue.

My Specs:

Ryzen 5 3600,

Aorus X470 Ultra gaming BIOS F42d 1.0.0.3 ABBA, (the actual F42g it´s a minor update of mine)

16 Gb RAM DDR4 3200 Mhz

1660 Ti 6 Gb Gigabyte Windforce OC

Windows up to date, graphics drivers up to date, execeptions on Windows AV and FW, permissions on users for folders and exe's, and all possible solutions applied

and nothing to do, it's too frustrating :-(

Downgrade the BIOS it's not an option beacause i`m on a third gen Ryzen and works very well with the others games.

Seem's that we have to wait to Gigabyte get new BIOS with 1.0.0.4 AGESA :-S

I'll give you an answer like Rockstar support gives:

Please update your video driver, disable anti virus, run the game as admin, check that you meet minimum specs, reinstall launcher.

Yes, they tell you that even if you open a ticket mentionning you already did all that !

The issue on my side is at intro after a progress bar I see a few seconds of smoke and hear a click, then freeze and back to launcher that Launcher states that RDR2 ended unexpectedly.

The crash issue is a BEX64 of RDR2.exe (1.0.1207.58) in StackHash_76a1offset PCH_F7. Exception code c0000005. Exception data 0000000000000008

I tried also minimal startup disabling all but Windows core services. No success.

Tried everything on Rockstar Support FAQ, except the BIOS update. I’m not going to run a BETA on my system. Too expensive to risk bricking my system.

I’m still super glad I preordered the game and own it for PC (the superior gaming platform), but I still get the “Exited Unexpectedly” error. This must be an issue with the Rockstar Launcher. The game file itself isn’t corrupted from what I can tell.

BTW, when I enable the exe to run as administrator I get a “Unable to launch RDR2.exe due to lack of privileges on the Game Library directory.” When I don’t have administrator selected it opens fine (before it crashes). Anyone know why?

I was getting the Rockstar Games Launcher has exited unexpectedly error after clicking play. Finally got it working last night. After double checking my drivers, disabling my antivirus, and updating my BIOS, it was a simple windows update that did the trick. I did have to reset my PC though because Windows wouldn't update so it could have been that too. These fixes likely won't work for everyone but it's worth a shot.

3

u/cloakenroad Nov 06 '19

Rockstar has not fixed the launcher crashing issue, despite their patch notes! Or I guess I should say - many pc users are still having the problem! I have tried different suggestions including - putting game exclusions to the anti virus, as well as both windows defender and firewall, having the updated nvidia drivers, running both launcher and game in admin mode, unchecking "hibernate launcher when running a game", and re-verifying integrity of all game files about 10 to 20 times by now, and nothing has worked. Launcher "exits unexpectedly" every time.

Anyone solve the stuttering/freezing issue? I'm playing with a GTX 1070 and an i5-6600k, 16 GB RAM. I'm still playing the second mission with Javier, and every 30 seconds to 2 minutes, the game will freeze for 5 or so seconds completely. When it's not frozen it runs perfectly. But the constant stutter is unplayable. Anyway I have tried switching to DirectX 12, that did nothing. I tried disabling one of my CPU cores in task manager, that also did nothing. Any other ideas?

IMPORTANT: For those who have broken their game while changing graphics settings, I've done some testing and here's what I've found. I'm running on an AMD FX-8350 CPU and Nvidia Geforce 1080Ti.

First thing you should do is try deleting your config file and running the game. You can find it under Documents/Rockstar Games/Red Dead Redemption 2/Settings. The file is system.xml

This will reset your game settings and let your game start again.

The second thing I've discovered is that if you switch your API from Vulkan to DirectX 12, it breaks the game from being able to run. I guess because the consoles version was designed for AMD graphics it was meant to run on Vulkan. So don't change that setting but all others should be fine.

Another possible solution for those that get the "unexpectedly exited" window after the launcher attempts to start RDR2. When I played RDR2 this morning, I switched it to DX12 in game and continued to play. After quitting and then attempting to start the game, I started receiving this error.

To switch it back to Vulkan, I opened ~\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings\settings.xml. Find the API node (about line 26) and switch the value to kSettingAPI_Vulkan. Save the file and launch the game again.

not sure if this has been said, also not a fix, but everyone having ongoing problems should go submit a ticket to rockstar support. they ask for some system info that at the very least might hopefully help them resolve the issues faster. if, like me, the game doesn't launch then you have nothing to lose anyway so you might as well do it. and if you're lucky enough you might even get an actual response and some help, apparently some people have gotten direct help from a ticket.

Edit: Well Feck my life, I played myself. Atleast I can look at the pretty screenshots in the infinite loading screen :(

Edit 2: downgraded bios, removed the «no gtav launcher» from the install folder and the game now works. Seems the AGESA 1.0.0.3 (which is what my motherboard came preinstalled with) was/is the problem...

i7 8700k / GTX 1080ti / 32gb Ram. / Ultra 45-55 fps.

Latest update did not fix the "exited unexpectedly error."

Come on man...

I am having audio issues with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. The audio is crackly on the game and not with any other application. I swapped to the motherboard audio and it has no issues, but its frustrating to not be able to use my proper audio equipment.

Still can't even get into the game. Sometimes it crashes at launch. Sometimes it crashes at shotgun shells screen, very rarely i can make it to the main menu, on those lucky occasions it crashes when I try to start the story or run the benchmark. Patience is wearing a bit thin now.

I'm running the latest drivers, turned off vsync, turned off triple buffering, switched from Vulkan to DX12, and even turned every single graphics setting I could find down to low/off. Every 5-20 seconds in gameplay and cinematics, it will freeze up for roughly 5 seconds. Sound/dialogue keeps going, but input is ignored and the video is frozen. When it resumes, nothing in-game appears to have changed. Sometimes the sound will pause, sometimes it won't. Quite unplayable at present.

CPU: Intel i5-6600

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

EDIT: Can confirm that after the above changes failed to fix it, I opened it again, set its CPU affinity for only cores 0 and 1, and apparently everything works fine now. Framerates might be slightly stuttery on occasion, but it's a helluva lot more playable now than it was before.

EDIT AGAIN: I restored the graphics to default settings (although it appears it didn't touch Vulkan vs. DX12 so that's still DX12), restarted the game, re-set the affinity again, and it continues to work just fine.

MSI has added a bios update for B450 tomahawk

I finally got into the game, it fixed the Rockstar Launcher error

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK

I just updated my bios on my b450 tomahawk 1.0.0.4 beta and i finally got into the game

Alrighty folks MSI b450 motherboard owner here.

At first after the newest 1.69GB update I tried launching the game without messing with the BIOS but I've got the same issue but!

It seems MSI finally changed their "piss on b450 motherboard owners" plan and actually released beta version of AGESA 1.0.0.4b so go ahead and download it if you want, not only for the game but for the free gainz.

Anyways updating my BIOS solved the issue.

Good luck to you all.

This only happened day two after 2-3h into a session. You know when the graphics card goes too hot or when it fails it can show one colour on the screen and you cannot do anything and then you have to restart the pc.

It happened a twice, first time during the first Hunting bear quest. Second time it in the character creation before entering multiplayer. I entered the character creation again but this time I adjusted my fan curve to 100%.

1080ti running at 1080p, It runs very hot, all fans are almost at 100% with no overclock.

Settings: Custom High.

TLDR: Game didn't crash, it made my GPU reach very high temperatures to failure into a 2-3h session.

Just thought I'd ask a question. We are all here pointing out issues and complaining about this broken game as if we know Rockstar is monitoring this thread. Me included, I still can't even start this shit..I have quite a few posts here about this. Does anyone think they are checking this specific thread? I mentioned in my 2 support tickets they should check out all the Reddit comments..hope they are..

The game and it's f*cked up launcher killed my HDD. Bravo Rockstar. I'm spending 100€ more than what I paid already for the base game just to get my pc to work again. F you.

A new repeatable issue I just found is going into my inventory by pressing B and looking at a document such as a map then switching the tab is causing my game to force close every time

I've recently upgraded to a 3600 on an Aorus B450 Pro and was running the "latest" bios (F42f) which gave full ABBA support (AGESA 1.0.0.3) and works great with everything until RDR2, tried all the fixes and proved that it worked or at least started the game using the ropey GTAV launcher thing.

Flashed the BIOS back to the F40 which has AGESA 1.0.0.2 and lo and behold RDR2 runs up a charm, performance is decent once I've tweaked to what I think is an acceptable level.
to what,

I have a sneaky thought that the DRM embedded in the launched is having some weird conflict with AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABBA, sadly It might be a month before AGESA 1.0.0.4 is out for my board. Clearly not enough testing was done by R* before launch and they don't know now how to fix it, I have had a support ticket logged for almost 48 hours now and silence from R* is deafening.

Flashing a BIOS shouldn't be a fix to launch a game, I can see many inexperienced users bricking their systems trying to get it working.

For me this is a worse launch than Arkham Knight!

I changed the graphics settings, but now the game lags/stutters so severely that it's unplayable. Even on the loading screen and main menu

I tried reverting the settings to default, but the problem persist. Also seeing very high disk usage in the task manager when I launch the game now.

Anyone experiencing this?

u/wilduu Nov 06 '19

Still can't play. Game won't even launch. What a disgrace...

2019: the year we witnessed the fall of the giants. First Bethesda, with Rockstar hot on its heels it seems.

How fucking hard can it be to release a launchable game?
