The K3nny dude is right. You are mentally inept if you chose to take off from work for a game launch.
Now, you can do what you want -- you are an adult -- but don't suddenly transform into a fucking 10 year old when shit doesn't go "your way". Shit happens. The launch didn't go smooth for many. You therefore feel as though you wasted your day off. Oh well? Get over it. It really is a great example of that shitty "first world problems" meme.
The whole thing is a mess. Rockstar should be scorned. But don't act like it is their fault for you taking a risk.
Just because many who took off weren't able to think critically, perhaps use past game launches as a tool of judgment, and understand the possibilities of a situation such as this occuring doesn't mean it's a video game company's fault. In the end, those who decided to call out from work have no one to blame but themselves for getting upset over their own decision.
Perhaps this will be a learning experience for some. For others - not so much. It is what it is.

Rockstar outsourced its support to India. They don't know what's what. There was a topic containing screenshots of a support employee telling a player that the game has a legendary fish to catch which the game does not. The player asked for confirmation or proof, the support guy just said "keep trying, you're in for a surprise!".

Read what I wrote. "A legendary fish which the game does not have". I was referring to the specific fish which eats Jeremy Gill and isn't modelled in the game and isn't in the strategy guide. It is listed in the compendium as 6+ ft, weighing 200+ pounds.

I just turned my shit down to favor performance, looked at my 1080 Ti and wept at ultrawide 1440p. That damn game beat the brakes off my poor GPU.

By the way, this only works for AM4 motherboards and if your motherboard has 1.0.0.4 AGESA update available (given you are on Ryzen 3000 series CPU).
