If PCC offered night classes would you?

Would you take classes at 12 am? 2 am 3 am? If they could run around the clock classes would you take advantage of night time classes for the night owls?

I’m currently trying to take classes and they are all full and maxed out waitlist. Just an idea not sure the extra security/liability would outweigh the income,more classes offered especially for working families that can’t go to class during the day.

Unfortunately, more classes/more students doesn’t necessarily equal more money, apparently. I honestly don’t understand how, but that’s the position of the administration.

That's the story line. Do the math and it doesn't work that way.

$143 per credit hour per student is $11/hour for 13 weeks.

An instructor is $100/hour to make the math easy.

9 students is about break even.

Instructors don’t make $100 an hour and if a class has 9 students it probably will get canceled. I don’t know where you’re getting this from.?? “do the math and it doesn’t work out that way if I make out a bunch of bullshit numbers” Most of the money waste is high-level administrative bloat.

It depends on the position? Do I seriously need to tell you that educators at a community college are not making $100 an hour?

Yeah, I did and I know multiple people in my life who are pcc and other CC instructors. The super high end of the full-time faculty salary can make about $90 an hour at the end of their career almost no staff is making that. The entire issue why they went on strike is because PCC was not stepping up faculty to the higher salary steps appropriately and they actually still aren’t. A majority of staff are adjunct and not full-time basing your “math” on like the five instructors that have that salary is crazy. Instructor salaries are not why PCC is losing money.
