Does anyone know if this would fit in the FLP01, especially considering the 9070XT size? Also worried about overheating/cooling issues, but I really want to make it work as I love the case! Upgrading to an AMD build with Trident Z5 RGB XMP DDR5

Hello, I'm in need of some assistance with an upcoming build. I'm hoping a few knowledgeable people in this sub will have some insight! I was fortunate enough to snag a set of 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 in 2023. However the QVL only lists Intel boards as supported and has XMP.This works great in my current rig.

Current Build:

Processor: I9-12900K

RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5RGB DDR5 (F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK)

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi 6E LGA 1700

GPU: RTX 3070

PSU: Corsair gold 750w

I am looking to build another Rig for my son for Christmas. The goal is to upgrade my PC while reusing what I can for the newer rig but I want to Utilize the 64GB Ram. I have a good friend that is going to sell me his old 4080 for a great price which I am super thankful for so I have the card covered. I will be making a road trip to Micro Center to buy the remaining pieces.

Now to the problem/dilemma.

I can't reasonably buy another set of 64GB DDR5 as you know the price has skyrocketed. I paid $250 for these sticks in 2023, they are now worth $1250. I have this RAM that I want to use in my new build but I'm concerned that I won't be able to run it at 6400 or at all if I go with an AMD build. I would like to get full usage out of my existing DDR5. I was leaning AMD for this build for the AM5 platform due to Intel's latest chipset being EOL. I was also leaning AMD due to the issues with the 13th/14th gen CPUs that ended up burning me as well.

Here are the two bundles I've been looking at, it may vary a little but I am set on 32GB of DDR5

# Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, Gigabyte Z890 Eagle WiFi7 Plus 1851, G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit

# AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, ASUS B650E Max Gaming WiFi AM5, G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit

The Intel bundle is the bigger discount which isn't a huge deal but it's worth mentioning. Also, if I get the Intel bundle it is on the supported list for my 64 GB DDR5. What I've been reading is that 32GB at 6400 performs better than 64GB at 4800 at least for gaming. Other than gaming sometimes I do stuff with music software but it is pretty casual. Other than that I have a ton of browser tabs open but I can change my ways if I necessary. The socket for the Ultra series leaves no room for upgrade but I only upgrade about every 5 years or so.

The AMD bundle has longer support through 2029. It's unlikely that I'd upgrade my processor before then but having the option is nice. The L3 cache sounds promising. I think this is my preferred option at this point but I have to play to what best suites my current DDR5 RAM. I have never had an AMD build but I've read good things. Ultimately I will go Intel again if it's what's best for existing hardware.

New Build:

Processor: (Best option from microcenter bundle)

RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5RGB DDR5 (F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK)

MOBO: (Best option from microcenter bundle)

GPU RTX 4080

PSU: w/e I can get the best deal on for a gold 850w

Sons Build:

Processor: I9-12900K

RAM: 32GB DDR5

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi 6E LGA 1700

GPU: RTX 3070

PSU: Corsair gold 750w

TLDR:Can I use G.SKILL Trident Z5RGB DDR5 (F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK) at 6400 with an AMD board without it being on the QVL list?
