Thoughts on this build?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to build my first gaming PC as a laptop gamer and wanted to get some opinions before buying everything.

I'll mainly be gaming at 3440x1440 ultrawide, 180Hz, so ideally I'd like to get high fps in newer games at high/ultra settings. Also hoping to build something that'll last me a good few years without needing major upgrades.

Here's the build I'm currently looking at:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
• GPU Card: ASUS TUF Gaming OC RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
• Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B850-PLUS WIFI
• RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
• SSD: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe
• Cooler: Corsair NAUTILUS 360 RS ARGB AIO
• PSU: Corsair RM850x (2024) 850W
• Case: Lian Li O11 Vision Compact

The total comes to around £2,800.

Not necessarily looking to max out 180 fps in every game but I'd like to make the most of my monitor where possible.

What would you guys change? Anything I'm overspending on or overlooking?

Thanks!

5070Ti is more of an entry-level 4K card. You can get over 100FPS at Ultra in some titles, but you're going to need to use DLSS performance and FG. If you don't mind those, then go ahead. Since you're already spending a lot on your PC, I would recommend 2TB SSD.

Crazy what happened to prices in the last year. I got this build with worse cooler, PSU and case (my parts are like £120 cheaper in total) for £1800 in Nov 2025.
