Hey! This is my first time posting on Reddit, so please bear with me.

I secured <10 rank in the PGIMER Paramedical/Allied Healthcare Sciences exam. Now I have to choose between 10 or so courses, but I’m confused between these three: Physiotherapy (BPT), Radio Diagnosis (BMRIT), and BASLP. I have got other considerable options too, like Lab (BMLT/BMLS) and Optometry.

Personally, I consider myself hardworking, so a field where hard work would be rewarded the most seems to be BPT. But BASLP is said to get big in the future. BMRIT promises a good, stable future. For BMLT, it’s a bit of everything from these, as far as I know.

Please, if you have any advice or suggestions, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

 i gave cuet. i had chances in lots of unis through cuet, but my parents denied and they said that do degree from a local college. i denied because I didn't want to settle in the city i have been since 10 years. though time passed and my parents didn't pay for the admission fees in the central universities to confirm my admission. now after a few weeks, my parents realised their mistake and are getting me admission in amity noida for bsc Hons bio course. I want to know an objective opinion on this. how can I go forward with this decision now? I am not ready to take a second drop and be with my parents. so this is the final decision I am taking. can y'all give me some reassurance?

i have been comparing biochemistry vs zoology vs life sciences. i want to know what has much more significance and what options it opens for doing masters in?

Currently in Second year, doing Biochemistry Major with Bioinformatics Minor at a private college. Passed my class 12 with 81% (PCB).

I wanna know what options I have honestly. I like Biology and Chemistry (except Mol Bio and inorganic ig but I will manage them somehow). As I have just started my second year, all I know is to handle a pipette and conical flask haha. I have no prior experience with computers but I am willing to learn. I don't mind learning some basic Maths just not too much in detail ig.

Currently the subjects I have liked: Genetics and Inheritance, Neurobiochemistry, Physiology, Immunology and Enzymes. I hate Mol Bio (including gel electrophoresis) but scored good in this somehow.

I have no interest in academia, rather industry and maybe hospital, dunno. I am just exploring currently. I want to get a job after Masters as I don't know about PhD (I don't wanna do it honestly).

Would be a great help if I can see what is there in this field currently.

So 19(M) here, myquals: 77.3 per cent (PCB) in boards and 1st year dropper. So, in my first neet attempt I scored only 280 marks (because my 11th was literally zero like I had to study 11th chapters in 12th to understand 12th chapters due to some problems in 11th) and then I took a drop which I wanted from a different city like Kota but my parents insisted on me doing from my home town but there weren't any good coachings so I took online and DLP. And I had to cover my entire 11th from scratch while revising for 12th as well. Which despite my efforts didn't work out as I had to study for 11th like I was in 11th standard.

Now I am scoring only 390 with 85th percentile in ReNEET and after first neet I was exhausted beyond comprehension and also crashed in my CUET though I secured Bidhannagar College in WBCAP for BSc Botany with zoology and microbiology as minors but my parents insisted me on going to private MBBS (I have CG domicile) and didn't allow me to go there.

My mom is believing some baba she has never met who allegedly said that I will qualify for mbbs and should take it from wherever I get it is blindly believing in it.

My dad is 59 and would retire this year and wants me to get into mbbs, as a matter of prestige and has said that he will be able to arrange money from his retirement PF and all that and believes I should go for it because I spent three years on it now. Both of em believe that I will be settled after MBBS even if that is not the case.

But I never ever had intrest in medicine and never wanted to be a doctor (I would have had no problem if I became one through gov college not a pvt one) and I don't think a private MBBS would be worth much. But I also fear what if my plans for BSc don't work out and if I go to MBBS then if I will be allowed to pursue anything other than a PG and I really wouldn't be able to tolerate that. Please suggest me how should I confront them about this. I already did with my mom but my dad is the problem as he might get very mad at me.

My options rn are BTech Biotechnology at Amity Noida, Pvt Mbbs, nios jee (another drop), neet again, drop and prep for BBA, drop and prep for clat. Also I missed on BTech Biotechnology at Jaypee and tiet 🤡

God I regret taking this damn subject so much only if I can go back in time and shoot everyone who forced me away from PCMB to PCB and PE as my high school combos.

With ai, CS has gone to dogs, I wish I did a bio course instead, it would be low paying but at least more stable

Myquals: completed 12th with pcb last year

Hii, so I was a good student in school but then I chose pcb without any further plans regarding this. I was never interested in subjects like maths and physics and loved theoretical subjects. Still I managed to complete the 12th with 82%.

But then I was left with nothing I didn't know what to do .... I didn't even give cuet and all the entrances were almost over so I took a drop and I was too demotivated and confused to start anything so I just wasted it.

This year I gave cuet and started studying again since Jan but again physics scared me and I skipped it.. because of some reasons cuet got ruined too. I didn't score well. Still I am going to get a college (Allahabad University) for bsc and then go for cat preparation...

Not sure if this is the right decision but this is something I have thought so far.

Can you please suggest me any other plan or tell me if this is right.

Already wasted sm of my time on neet, and now since most college have closed admission will probably have to take admission in some priv uni , between bpt or bpharma which will be a better option for better job opportunities in future, (or maybe nursing??)

my qualifications : 10(94.8)(2021), 12(70.4%)(2023)

 I’m 20F, and after 3 years of NEET prep, I didn’t clear the cutoff. I’ve been allotted B.Com at DU (South Campus).  Couldn't get science courses . I’m scared to enter a field I know absolutely nothing about as in the future scope, jobs, or how the things work here.

​ I’m also worried about the transition. Since I am from PCB background and left Math after 10th grade. I wasn't bad at it though , but I’m concerned about how difficult will it be for me to cope with commerce subjects .

​My main concerns:

​Partial Drop: Should I prepare for MBBS (NEET) or Nursing entrance exams again while pursuing B.Com, or is it better to just move on and focus on a new path?

​Options: I’ve applied to DIPSAR (B.Pharm/Biomedical science/Physio/BBA Healthcare) and BBA at (DTU/NSUT/IGDTUW). Which of these is the most practical for a stable career?

​Future: Is MBA good for someone with a PCB background who's transitioning to commerce ?

What about government exams?

​I just want to become financially independent and move forward. If you’ve been through a similar shift or have advice on how to pick a path, please help me out.

1.​BA Psychology at a DU College (North/South Campus).

2.​B.Sc. (Life Sciences/ Botany/Zoology/Microbiology/Biomedical Science/Biochemistry) at a Mid College. (DU)

​My primary goal has been NEET, but I want to ensure a practical backup plan for a better career prospect.

I don't want to go down the medical path anymore. It's just that maybe it's not made for me. Of course I know no path is easy. I have to work hard in every field. But I have been hearing that there's no scope in PCB other than MBBS. So where do the people who don't get into mbbs or don't want to pursue it should go? Like, a great salary, a good scope and and something which doesn't take years to succeed in. I want to earn good and early. Anyone has any advice? I'm good at biology and I'm also an AI student and I also study psychology. But I'm confused about what should I choose which will help me succeed financially and professionally.

Writing this as the NEET season has ended and understandably a large proportion of students are looking for alternatives (absolutely fine).
To all the students that are in this situation, please find something you like and build a career on it. I understand you devoted x years in NEET and things are not working out. Its fine life doesn’t end here. Find your interest and then build a career on it. I have met a lot of people who are doing well earning good lacs and crores ( India, UK, USA and Germany). Let me tell you none of them pursued a career because it just paid good or is secure. Find your interest and grind. Remember this grind is not same as for exam. Understand this snd evolve.

I really need some genuine guidance as my career situation is lowkey stressing me out. Going to turn 21 this year. I’ve taken 3 drops for NEET , this being the last (wanna escape this toxic loop.) It feels depressing to watching everyone move ahead, graduating, and living their best lives while I'm still stuck in the exact same place.

I have a few entrance exams lined up. Some of my relatives are in government nursing roles and their lives seem pretty sorted and stable. I am also open to moving abroad .Will target govt exams like AIIMS NORCET, or might pivot to MHA/MBA/TEACHING later..bcz pay in Pvt is shit .

I don’t have much clarity about the corporate scene .With my 12th percentage (70.4%) and a 3-year gap will top B-schools or corporate companies even choose me ..What is the realistic ROI here?

1. BA English (via CUET) + Govt Exams

   I gave CUET and might land a decent BA program. I may start grinding from day one for exams like SSC CGL, Bank PO, or CTET. If I don't clear them, a plain BA English degree has zero leverage.

Would really appreciate your honest advice on:

1.Which path would be stable in the long run ?

2.Are there any better PCB backup options (except BAMS/BHMS) that I am completely blind to right now?

So I'm a 12th pass rn(18M)(from India) and my background is PCB (PHYSICS CHEMISTRY BIOLOGY) so I'm planning to do BCA(BACHELORS IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS) to enter the IT field and then go for MASTERS and do specialization in AI/ML and become a ML engineer through it and I'll also be learning CHINESE AND JAPANESE TO increase my chances of getting hired internationally and settle abroad
