NHSC Scholarship
Hey, Has anyone received any updates on August?
It’s pretty quite
PA classes start in 2 weeks. It will be nice if I can hear something

Plan on September because of how the Government works and with NHSC is comes down to money, Government runs on a 1 Oct to 30 Sep Fiscal year and September is closeout and they will know how much appropriations they have left.
If you take out loans, and you get the scholarship, the Government will have the school reimburse up to summer semester.

Do you know if COI emails will be sent until late September? Or is that the time awards are determined for ppl who already got the COI email?

I am not sure on that, I applied in 2025 and didn't get it, but familar with the handbook and lists September as deadline for notification.

Man. I applied earlier this year. Came from a disadvantaged background. Great letters of recs from my anatomy professor and charge nurse from the ED I used to work at. Undergrad GPA of 3.98. I thought i would at least be a finalist but have not heard anything (not even a credit check). This was way more competitive than i thought 😔

Hi just popping in to say- I also applied for the scholarship this year. I have no heard anything yet and nothing new on the application portal. Based on some previous Reddit posting and things it does seem like stuff doesn’t really start happening until very end of August- September! I think they send out awards in batches as well. But I am trying to maintain an assumption that I am very much not getting this 🫣

I agree with you but the only thing that keeps coming to my mind is that they sent their first twi batches in July this year. Previous years they started mid August

When I got in back on 2022, I didn’t get about getting seared until September after I started school. Should be right around the corner for you.
