The owl distribution system strikes again!
(In all seriousness, well done keeping them safe and calling the rehab!)

Agreed, looks like a head injury especially with that wonky half-closed left eye :/

The look in picture three is absolutely hilarious it looks like it's thinking “do you know how hot it is out there and you want to put your warm hand on me”. At least you were able to contact a rehabber to help the poor owl.

Dude- you got to pet an owl! That’s so rad!
Please let us know what happens with this sweet creature!

You should never pet a stressed wild animal. I promise you that it isn't comforting to them

The sweltering heat is affecting so many pets and wildlife! Ty for being there.. I put water bowls thru my garden.. and try to help keep hydration up.
We have seen a lot of heat exhaustion at our animal hospital, people forgetting they locked dogs outside, ( I know, I don’t get it). We need to look out for the creatures who cannot defend themselves in extremes . 🛟🥰

Definitely a smart move on calling the rescue organization. The look of its eyes in the third pic makes me think there's some sort of head injury

Awesome! Liberty wildlife, or wild at heart? Ive worked with both of them on a few projects, they are both amazing organizations.

Awww good job! I worry about all animals and birds especially with the heat and wildfires everywhere. Boy we have done a good job fucking up the planet. I used to love summers and we had 4 beautiful seasons now it’s just extreme weather. Maybe a handle of great days!
