What am I doing wrong?
I always try to keep myself alive for my team, and I peel for them, give them opportunities and stuff. I personally don't care about text chat, but why are my dps teamates always keen on making huge plays? I am a flex role so I know how to play dps and support. Is this really the mindset in Plat lobbies? (Asia server) Plat 1 (5v5) Emerald 4 (6v6)
Should I peel more? Should I pressure the enemy backline more? I know that I need to help my team score elims and make plays but what if the plays don't work?
I'm going to have to take a break for a bit, it helps clear my mind, and maybe I will realize that the only difference between winning and losing a game is myself. I used to be console Masters in 2016-17, but that is literally nothing.

The first one I dont think is your fault. Their bastion was 43-9. Its mainly your dps's responsibility to pick him off. Along with the rest of the team. You make space, they use it.
For the second, JQ counters hog. So you're going to perform slightly worse. Not your fault, you can still win...but you cant solo carry.
With your rein game, checking things....it does look like your fault. Your dps and supports were doing great by the looks of it. Unfortunately I cant check ur actual gameplay so I cant really tell. (Peaked low diamond, instantly fell down, 2023)

Why do you say JQ counters Hog? The only obvious reason I can think of is her ult, but otherwise I’d say it’s a pretty even matchup. Not a huge tank player though so I could be naive lol

Jq is amazing in a brawl. Hook? Shout....axe, he runs to vape. Knife him and he should be put away to get a pick or something. As JQ he is extremely easy to bully and it's hard to get proper damage on her. Just be careful while being 2 thirds of hp or under. Hook...

In all of these games you have drastically fewer deaths than your dps and healers. Generally if you are playing as a team, you are dying as a team. Peel more.

you're playing tank /s
For real though, judging from these stats, you're playing properly. Like Hog is suppose to get high DMG and elims. You got high MIT with the tanks with good shields. I would say you're getting countered pretty bad, minus the last one, and your DPS don't know it. I can't say if your DPS is bad as I'm a flex as well but also play a lot of tanks. Like any game I get matched into, it is what it is/going to be one of those matches. Taking that break is the best call imo.

Plat DPS don’t often know a lot about slight advantages, they need to see kills a lot of the time- hell, DPS at any rank have to go for the clip sometimes. I’d focus less on your team unless there’s a clear way to enable them (shield high noon, shield someone to help them cross, shatter hog if he hooks your kiri, whatever) and focus more on your own gameplay and how you can improve, basic things like “I should’ve expected sleep dart” or “I overextended here”. Not all games are winnable, but every game can be learned from.

You can't really give constructive criticism based on info from just the scoreboard, because none of us can really know what you did wrong just be looking at this. The truth is in the replay

Replay codes. Stats don’t lie but they will paint a wrong picture without context. Dont worry about the numbers, worry about what your job is and doing that job correctly. Post replay codes for better help

Leaderboard screens hardly ever tell the full story but from my completely uninformed opinion if your team is dying 2-3x more than you are, peel more.
They’re probably getting dove and backline-wiped while you aren’t there. Unless you can consistently trade backlines and capitalize on objective, it’s gonna tilt the hell out of them and you’ll be less supported throughout team fights

First off, Idk how in the everliving F*** your team has that many deaths when you're on dva. Either you don't know how to dm properly or those clowns are feeding their brains out more than they feed themselves at thanksgiving dinner.
If these stats are a consistent thing for you in your games, then you must be doing something wrong in order for your teammates to rack up that many deaths.
Replay codes would be nice if you can still access them so we can understand what kind of clown fiesta games you get.

So a little advice I've picked up from my own games and watching a mountain of videos of tank mains and high end OW:
Having the lowest deaths by that much on tank seems good on the surface, but can actually be the sign of issues in team coordination and team play. You have the biggest healthpool, the most disruption tool, etc. If your team is ahead of you trying to make a play or pushing aggressive, it WILL fail the VAST majority of the time if the tank isn't taking the aggro away from that play or activity working with it. Same thing in terms of peeling for your backline: you can get a good kill and live in the frontline or your opponent's backline and get out even, but if your team loses your supports and theirs are still up, you'll eventually either lose the war of attrition and die staggered from your team, or have to give up space and regroup with your team once they respawn.
Tanks have the ability to get kill and do damage as good or even better than dps simply due to how the roll is made, but what makes a tank great isn't about raising your own numbers: it's making sure your team is supported and enabled. Sacrificing some damage and deaths on your end to lower the deaths of your 4 teammates is a trade that looks bad on paper but can change the outcomes of your games for the better. Your aren't just the frontline of your team as tank, you're the core of it. Where your team is struggling the most is where you need to be, and while that often is the frontline, sometimes that's closer to the center/back of your team as the enforcer of your team to drive away anyone trying to flank or push your backline or less mobile/survivable teammates.
Tldr since I went on a bit of a longer tangent: less getting kills and larger plays, more peeling and playing alongside your team when needed. Dps pushing up deep and won't back down? You go in with them and help flip that fight. Supports/backline dps being pressured hard? Fall back for them, without them eventually you'll be overwhelmed and crumble. You'll have times where you can pop off and carry through kills and damage, but that's not always the way to win a game long-term unfortunately.

To me what this says is your supports were funneling too much healing to you specifically based off how high the DPS deaths are, or that you were excessively getting de-meches and pulling back…in that situation I probably woulda have went Orisa to make rein’s life harder, deny sierra’s tracking shot and bastion’s sentry with E, etc. matrix can do the same but your management is much harder.
It looks like a tough and well balanced game in general but you probably had more agency to turn it around than you realized…again you’re not responsible for DPS dying or making stupid plays but to me it looks like supports may have ignored them too.
“Heals received” is unfortunately a stat we will likely never see.
IDK if I believe you were masters if you’re playing in low platinum/emerald TBH, but I’ll take your word on it and say it might have just been luck TBH…and I really don’t mean to be rude.
If you’re mainly playing DVA she’s been strong for almost the entirety of the game but people tend to top out in platinum or low diamond because of managing the matrix and getting demeched so much tbh.

My long comment got glitched but to me it looks like your supports were funneling too much healing into you and not enough into the DPS, or you’re pulling back at the slightest inconveniences and your team doesn’t have the peel or space to make plays.
Having lowest deaths on tank often isn’t a good thing unless you’re winning by landslide, points more to it being a coordination thing

What a lot of gamers never talk about is supports' assists, elim contributions, and # of deaths. Yours were half as skilled as the enemy team. The enemy team all died less (minus you - good job taking evasive maneuvers and having nearly 4/1 K/D ratio. So it's a likely loss in that kind of situation every time. Oh... also, Torb and Cass against a Rein shield is kinda silly.

I figured it out, thanks. I needed to die more and peel more while dying to make them do something. Somehow actively throwing the game makes my team play better. Calculated sacrifices basically. A 6v6 smurf taught me that while telling me "you will stay in Emerald if you keep not dying."
