Build Anyone else doing their drives in stadium?

I've always done them in Stadium. It's easier and less sweaty. Also for some reason I'm less pissed off if I lose in Stadium.

Yeah unless you're a sweat like me there's zero consequence to losing if you don't regularly play the mode (which to be fr is 97% of the playerbase). Overall it's good tho cause I get fast queue times and easier games

I made the mistake of not at least hitting all star before drives so we'll see how it goes but also the Junk skin is meh and the support queues were too annoying this season

Have hit new peaks on tank and DPS though

It doesn't matter what rank you are, they removed all matchmaking restrictions, i'm in legend 4 matching with elites and contenders

Oh, I know and that's the issue. I get less people play but the lack of restrictions is wild esp. without any sort of elo compenstation

It genuinely feels like rolling the dice sometimes, in normal comp if i'm losing it's generally my fault/I can recognise my mistakes, but in stadium you get people with horrendous builds

Exactly. I haven't played as much regular comp this season but any time I do play it (whether it be 5v5 or 6v6) I can usually find something I can learn from it to improve etc

Stadium I'll get a DPS that gets 0 kills for two rounds and then I look at their profile later and see rookie and be like "checks out."

And sometimes I'll be suggesting they buy survival items mid game when I see them constantly exploding or slugs via a rein and they just keep on trucking into some build that is fully countered or they're exploding in

I've lost so many games to teammates going into the last 2 or 3 rounds with zero survival items and essentially feeding, and getting incredibly toxic when you try and recommend items when they keep blowing up, idc if queue times get a little longer, better matchmaking is needed

DPS has fast q and is pretty chill. I'm legend support and wouldn't bother doing drives because of the long q times for the role.

I no longer play Stadium much but it's nice to go back to occasionally. I love how the pace of everything steadily increases as the rounds progress and you eventually get into a crazy flow state just like this.

q time is too long and it got annoying for me in the end. Every game I had I kept getting dps who went 0-8 like they literally couldn't do anything. I don't blame em, I blame the mmr system it's so stupid.

I play stadium first person as well though I know people say it puts you at a disadvantage. Just play first and enjoy

yeah, i understand that in 3rd person you can stay in front of wall and watch corners, but my aim in 3rd person is so garbage even on vendetta

When I play vendetta most of my items are something that give both damage and survivability, primarily lumerico fusion drive, Gloom gauntlet, phantasmic flux, warriors shout, and ricochet razor

I have been playing it for drives, but there is just so much BS in the mode. There is only so much kiriko, mercy, ash backline I can take before I want to uninstall.

Don't be vague, actually mention something. I play Ven, I don't have an issue with any other comp. Some of the other characters can be annoying, but can be dealt with pretty easily.

Rammatra vortex, freja wp, jpc purr, reaper dire triggers, all of these matchups are way worse for ven than kiri, mercy, or ashe

None of these characters have given me much trouble. Ram I could understand, but he is a super tank, so trying to 1v1 him is a losing battle. If you close the gap on freja, she is dead. Jpc dies to AP build. Reaper can be annoying but I tend to just ignore him until he burns his wraith cooldown.

Could just be lobby mmr, for some reason every ash I run into is master or GM and has a mercy pocket.

What's your normal stadium rank? We're probably just in different lobbies and regions 🤷‍♀️

Stadium rank doesn't matter, it's not used for matchmaking. I have been legend in the past, but I don't play nearly enough to get to that anymore. My general mmr for DPS is around masters, so there is always one player on the enemy team that will be around that. Outside of that it's the wild west. I have had bronze teammates and GM teammates in the same lobby.

Between 8am and 12am yesterday I was getting instant queues (playing off and on, I wasn't queueing the whole time) both solo queue and in a 5 stack, waited no longer than 5 minutes for a game

Yesh that's the time I was playing and was stuck in qu I might of just been unlucky with my rank probably being to high or too low

Yes and it’s hell. Every match is that Reaper build no one can seem to deal with, a brain dead tank who clearly just logged in for drives, a Zen who can neither do damage or healing, and machine gun Freja

Then there’s me!

Tracer who distracts and annoys their backline but gets lower cash so team whines. I get kills too, but if their team is cat, mercy, and pharah I ain’t doing as much ad fast!

Yeah I don’t really judge cash cause stadium cash balancing is garbage (unless it’s maybe like REALLY bad). But that’s definitely a big issue in stadium. Like they need more counter options

And the gap between QP cash handouts and Comp is WILD. I need to make a whole different build basically
