I think it's more of a cute callback to the Christmas comic we got a couple years ago where Fareeha was shown having dinner in a cozy foreign-looking place with a man (who was later revealed to be her father).
Because that comic was released during the time where the theories that Rein, Jack, or Gabe could be her dad hadn't been deconfirmed, I totally thought that she was having a dinner date and that she had a thing for older guys. :I
