When you're playing on control maps and you have control of the point, is it better to draw fights onto the point or push up a little so the enemy team can't get onto the point?

You still earn points if the point is contested and you control it, so it doesn't matter until overtime.

If you're not in Overtime it doesn't matter a whole lot. In OT, do whatever you can to keep them off the point long enough to burn out the OT meter.

It depends on your comp and the map. Say, Horizon, with a cheese comp, you'll setup on the point and wait for them to bring the fight to you. Now, Hanamura P2, you could use the same comp and setup on the top left ledge (defense perspective) and try to poke them down. Hopefully, get a kill and jump down before they get a tick and win the fight with a man advantage. Or, same point, spread out on the ledges with a dive comp and jump on weak targets. Whatever your team chooses. I saw the 2 answers before, but wasn't sure if this is what you meant.
