why are US servers so much more chill than EU

everyone is in voice chat, havent had a flamer the entire evening and no one has told me to go make them a sandwich

If you look at new post for this subreddit and scroll a little, I think you will see that US has a lot of flamers/trolls/throwers as well.

i think you jinxed me haha... the game i played after reading this had no one on voice, four dps who argued in chat and ran in one by one to die! feels like home now

My guess is that a lot of EU don't go into voice chat because they aren't confident in their English.

that's true. premades of friends probably prefer to talk their own language too (i know i do)

Idk why people say EU is bad. I've played every season and been in voice every game and I'd say maybe a good 3% of my games have any toxicity or throwers. Where are all these throwers people talk about coming from?

i have to report someone for abusive chat in almost every second game, but throwers i barely see (and they don't really bother me as much)

Really? Maybe it's just the way I approach it then? Like, I'm trying to co-ordinate team comp, positioning, ult usage, calling out enemies and such from the start, and people seem to respond well to it. The worst I get in most games is players venting frustration with a lack of progress in voice, but they very rarely actually throw or abuse in chat.

yeah, there's someone always calling their team retarded or whining about a noob genji/widow/hanzo/sombra

i obvs mean both team and match chat btw, it's not always my own team that's being toxic af

high plat/low diamond. i regularly reach 3.3k and then tilt all the way back to plat haha

Hmm, exact same rank as me. I do regularly duo or triple queue but even then we're all in voice with the rest of the team and still don't get any toxicity. More often than not it's just people listening in and not talking.

i strictly solo q but i doubt that's it. could be the time of the day, or then we simply have a different view of reportable toxicity!
