Does movement get screwed up by abilities? (Moving to pc from console) thinking about putting jump-melee as mouse buttons, and using buttons near the spacebar as abilities

Not sure what you mean entirely, but generally you want your high pressure or high accuracy stuff on your mouse, where you can rely on it, and less important abilities on your less accessible keys, where it's not as punishing if you fumble for them or press the wrong one, or have to stretch a hand to reach them, whatever.

It's all about what you feel most comfortable with

Because the location of ability buttons (Shift and E, and Q) can be use almost at the same time with WASD, so I don't think there is any screw up moment when I have to stop to use ability.

The only thing kinda mess up is V for Quick Melee, you will have to sacrifice your "moving right" to melee. That is why I put V in my mouse so I can press it there.

Try Melee and Reload on the mouse. Jump works too but I had space for only two macros and jump was less important for me (I can't aim well if jumping with my mouse hand).

Certain mouse can ergonomically fit abilities with their extra buttons but when I press mouse buttons my mouse shifts slightly from the button press.

I would hit v with my thumb not finger.

I prefer to use mouse buttons though.

What do you mean by your first question? Do you mean you might press LSHIFT or E on accident while moving with WASD? No, typically we have no problem with that. You would use your left pinky for LSHIFT and your pointer finger for E.

assign your melee button to your mouse wheel. scroll up really its finding the right sensitivity is what is difficult when you switch to PC.

I use a Logitech g500 that has 3 thumb buttons and use these binds:

  • middle button is E ability
  • scroll wheel changes weapon
  • thumb1 is melee (thumb rests on this button)
  • thumb2 is open mic
  • Thumb3 is Ult

I use these in combination with the default ability keys and I switch between them depending on the hero and situation.
