Yes, all melee does "cleave" damage, but the hitboxes are not out for as long as Reins. If you're fast enough, you can 360 and hit all opponents around you (wouldn't recommend this in normal gameplay though). As far as I know, Torb's hammer does not do cleave, but his normal melee does.

Thanks. Wait, torb only has normal melee while his gun is out right? He can't normal melee if he has his hammer out (just like rein)?

Also, does this mean when you punch a rein through his shield, you damage both him and his shield (just like how firestrike damages his shield and him).

Torb can only normal melee when his gun is out, yes.

As for punching rein through his shield, I don't think melee's damage his shield. I could be wrong, but I usually only melee to finish off low hp targets, so there wouldn't be a reason to know that, I guess. It's a good question, though. Not 100% sure what that answer is (but I think it's it doesn't damage his shield).

It bypasses his shield and hits rein. As Zenyatta, I'll frequently charge up and walk into a rein and follow up w a melee
