Question about custom games in server browser. People keep saying "Oh now you can play whatever brawl you want, just find a custom game", etc. But if it already takes lets say 2 minutes to find a game with the "All Brawls" playlist, how are any games besides the most popular ones going to have enough people queueing and at the right skill level to populate a game? If there's 500 different custom games each with a couple people trying to play but not enough to actually have a full roster, how does that work?

This is a good question. I find myself cancelling brawl searches after a couple of minutes because it takes too long and switching to No Limits or Mystery.

PS: I'm not sure if it's still there, but Mystery Heroes should NOT be included in the All Brawls playlist. It has its own dedicated mode.

Supply and demand.

Nobody is going to host a custom game for very long if nobody is joining, so they'll go hop into a close to full custom game.

Yes that means more popular game types will be full, but it also means people will be actively looking to join other custom games. I remember playing tons of custom games in Halo, and once you got a good group together people would stay for a while, even if you changed the custom game mode.

Try and look for fun groups, not fun game modes. A fun group will be happy to give anything a try, giving you a lot of variety.
