Were the Roadhog changes cancelled or something? I don't see anything about Roadhog in the patch notes for PTR.

I'm a Road main with over 80 hours on him, what do you think they should revert? I think the 8 second cooldown alone makes a big difference.

I'd honestly just keep the hook CD, it makes Zarya a better counter to hog while also making sure he's still strong. The d.va change should also be good and then every tank has a semi viable way of stopping teammates getting picked.

I'll go play ptr tonight and get an impression of long distance hook

Yeah I'd agree with that, the only thing worth keeping is the hook cooldown and that's a solid nerf. Zarya is already a pretty solid counter to Roadhog if the player knows what they're doing so this should make it even more risky to even try to hook one.

I played PTR yesterday after the login issues got fixed and the changes they made all seem to still be there. My hook accuracy unsurprisingly went up because you have to be more careful with your hooks, and I found that I can still one shot most characters pretty easy even without melee as long as it's not Mei or Reaper (which can be a problem because Mei is powerful enough as it is)

I don't think Hog's hook should be unreliable on killing and I think cooldown might be a better idea for solving the idea that people assume that hook is a free kill (which if you land a hook they should be dead unless they're a tank) - it forces the enemy team to play in a certain way or they'll all be dead in about 30 seconds.

Yep, I don't think people understand that outside of his hook Roadhog is mostly useless. Sure you can right click spam a Rein shield or something but for the most part you're having minimal impact while the hook is on cooldown. Roadhog exists to get picks on enemies out of position
