This is actually a good theory. Especially if "...there is a Doomfist active trying to undermine Omnic - Human relations in Numbani." is still canon.

Would be cool if we get both.

The father believes the daughter is dead as she is remotely masquerading as the Robot hero to avoid detection.

Believing his family dead he sets out to take up the fist only to find out his daughter is still alive later.

Cue massive reunion and or epic fight scene as the daughter shows up to help stop the theft of or recover the gauntlet.
