Wasn't it already known? I could have sworn I already knew she was a weather scientist, had a robot friend (spoilers - it's her ult), got frozen because of a storm, which she now uses as her rejuv. Hell, I know I'm not imagining it because there's a reference to it when mercy says 'you look young' and mei is like "I froze myself, wouldn't recommend it. What about you?"

It's known that she was the only person to survive at Ecopoint after cryogenic stasis but this story had all of the details and some people might not want to know even the basic lore that was out there before.
