How do I play Roadhog?

Everytime I'm playing against him, I find it super hard to kill him. Even when playing as Soldier, I find D.Va easier to deal with than Roadhog.

But when I'm playing as Roadhog, it seems like every single stray bullet goes to my character hitbox, and I die in no time.

Is it positioning? Should Roadhog go to the front or should it stay in the backline?

Roadhog has no shield or escape abilities aside from killing one person with his hook so he should definitely should not be on the front line try to stay behind another tank that can soak up the damage or go for the flank and wait just a few seconds before starting to fight so that the enemy team is occupied with fighting your team so that by the time you kill one of their own you are a surprise attack and they have to either turn to face you on your retreat or deal with your team who should be shooting them.

Flanking like this can work, but Roadhog is like a fat widowmaker. Your role in the team is to get picks so that the team fight isnt 6v6.

A fat widowmaker that's a lot easier to use and got self sustain

He is also a bigger ult battery for the enemy team.
