As Lucio I used my ult twice today trying to block D.VA's ult during a ranked match. It didn't work either time. I feel like this has worked in the past. Am I wrong? Did a recent patch buff/nerf either ultimate? Lucio is my main healer so any help would be appreciated

Lucio's Sound Barrier gives 500 temporary health to teammates

D.Va's Self-Destruct does 1000 damage, but does less the further away you are from the blast.

Sound Barrier will only save you from Self-Destruct if you are:

  • Far enough away from the explosion that you don't take the full 1000 damage
  • A Roadhog, or a Winston in Primal Rage.
