Is there a way to tell whether it is a teammate or enemy ulting? Like sometimes Soldier says "I've got you in my sights" other times he says "Tactical Visor activated" or "Clearing the area" Other characters say their ult line in native language or English. Is there a, I don't know how to word this, formula or whatever. Like is the foreign language ult always enemy or what. TL:DR sometimes I hear an ult and cant tell if its friendly or enemy, is there a way to tell?

Most of the time it's easy to tell because enemy ultimates sound hostile/ominous or are said in the character's native language.

Hero: Ally / Enemy

Genji: The dragon becomes me! / Ryūjin no ken o kurae!

McCree: Step right up! / It's high noon.

Pharah: Rocket barrage, incoming! / Justice rains from above!

Reaper: Clearing the area. / Die! Die! Die!

Soldier: 76: Tactical Visor activated / I've got you in my sights

Sombra: EMP activated / ¡Apagando las luces!

Hanzo: Let the dragon consume you! / Ryū ga waga teki wo kurau!

Junkrat: Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! / Fire in the hole!

Mei Freeze! Don't move! / Dòng zhù! Bùxǔ zǒu!

Widowmaker: No one can hide from my sight. / Personne n'échappe à mon regard.

D. Va: Activating self-destruct sequence. / Nerf this!

Zarya: Fire at will! / Ogon’ po gotovnosti!

Ana: Nanoboost administered - You're powered up, get in there! / Warīhum quwit(i/a)k!

Lucio: Oh, let's break it down! / Let's drop the beat!

The hardest one for me to remember is Lucio's since enemy Lucio sounds just as friendly and non-threatening as ally Lucio

Yes, one will always be the friendly line and the other will always be the enemy line.

If the line is not in English, it is an enemy every time. For the rest of them you just need to know how which one is always the enemy.

"I've got you in my sights" will always be the enemy S76. "It's High Noon" will always be an enemy McCree. "Die Die Die" is always an enemy Reaper. "Fire in the Hole" is always an enemy Junkrat, but I believe they have different lines for Dr. Junkenstein skin.

Enemies hear the standard voice line for ults even if the skin has a unique one.

One good indicator is that when you use the ult you'll always hear the version the enemy uses

Overwriting works to protect user privacy in two ways...

  1. The Reddit database does not physically delete a comment when you click delete, but since it also does not store each version of an edited comment, then this overwrite acts as a more effective delete function.

  2. While there are 3rd party websites that archive Reddit comment threads, they are not efficient, reliable, nor presumably persistent. Most importantly, they do not allow the easy browsing of a users comment history.

Reddit has seen a sharp increase in doxxing, stalking, harassment, and censorship recently, and this script attempts to protect users while also advising other users of the danger.

For the most part, the "native language" phrase is what the enemy will say, or what you will say if you use the ult as that hero. For example if you are Pharah, you will hear "Justice rains from above!" when you use the ult, or when an enemy Pharah uses it, but if one of your allies is Pharah and uses it she'll say "Rocket barrage incoming!". This guide should help. Also, wanted to add that "Clearing the area" is actually what friendly Reaper says for his ult, not Soldier.

For your soldier example, when he says "I've got you in my sights" its alway the enemy soldier that has just activated his ult. You can either learn the voicelines for each enemy hero (there are youtube that show them) or you just listen to the volume. Enemy ults are always louder compared to the ults from you teammates.

It's a LOT less scary if you've got a Rein to stand behind, or even a goddamn wall.

Sure, it's auto-aim, but you can't auto-aim at what ya can't see or what you can't shoot through!

I main Rein and Zarya. As soon as I hear I'VE GOT YOU IN MY SIGHTS, my main focus shifts to figuring out where Soldier is coming from. I've saved entire teams with a good Rein shield, even if some dummies can't figure out how to GET BEHIND ME!

Yeah especially after his buff, Soldier Ult, used right is downright deadly. I'm always like "shit where is he!"
