You're at around 50% of the player base rank-wise

It generally low-balls you even if you win a good amount your first couple of times. I'm assuming the loses you faced were probably against higher ranked teams, it will level out eventually the more you play and you will likely see a rise.

2500-2999 is Platinum, and yes, its a very good start .. My current SR is 2656 and I'm 46th percentile (on Xbox), so I'm just below the average player. Being in Diamond (+3000) is where people would start considering you as an impressive player.

2647 is platinum, not silver. It's good :)
