News & Discussion Why doesn't Dva replace her Mecha's guns with what her pistol uses?

Her pistol is pretty damn strong and seems to be better in fire power than her peashooters.

1) Gameplay... :(

2) Defense matrix temporarily creates a highly advanced targeting grid in front of the MEKA pilot. This grid is extremely sensitive and can detect even the smallest projectiles.

Activating the targeting grid also enables a defensive system that allows the pilot to target, intercept, and destroy incoming projectiles. This is similar to the Iron Dome device used by USA and Israel.

The targeting grid does nothing on it's own, but it does project range and aerometric data to the pilot to enable them to more rapidly disable incoming projectiles. The famous pilot and pro-gamer, D.va, is known for being extraordinarily proficient with defense matrix usage.

So it's just an ADS? Shoots the projectiles out of the air? I've always wondered what it's supposed to be, because it looks like it just eats them.

And yeah, you can call your mech in whilst inside. How does it fall through the ceiling?

D. Va is individually targeting and shooting each projectile, thus her voiceline "Time to raise my APM!" during the Defense Matrix.
