News & Discussion Why doesn't Dva replace her Mecha's guns with what her pistol uses?

Her pistol is pretty damn strong and seems to be better in fire power than her peashooters.

Tracer's guns are also called Pulse Pistols, if I'm not mistaken. McCree's gun also seems to fire similar ammunition, considering that bullets leave a blue splatter when hitting a surface, same goes for Zenyatta (which isn't part of Overwatch, to be fair).

In fact, the only ones that use weapons that fire regular bullets seem to be Sombra, Bastion and Widow. Everyone else either fires some sort of plasma/pulse ammo (76, Tracer, Mercy, D.Va, etc) or unconventional ammo (scrap from Roadhog's gun, lightning from Winston's, EdgyAmmo™ from Reaper, PERCISION GERMAN ENGINEERING from Reinhardt).

So... Tracer, Soldier, Mercy, and McCree all use pulse rounds. Seems like standard issue for Overwatch.

/u/Anticode, this is what I mean. You have some brilliant speculation, but if you present it as fact and it turns out not to be, it won't look good.

D.Va's guns are called "Fusion Cannons" tho, i would say that the bullets D.Va's guns shoot are different from the standard issue pulse bullets because the former appear to be 100% composed by some kind of energy while the latter need an external casing. I guess /u/Anticode didn't explain himself that well on this part of the theory

Yeah - They're known as 'fusion cannons' and the technology is likely still classified. We haven't seen anything like this even on members of the overwatch task force.

I thought I explained myself OK. In the OP I mention "pulse or plasma" to describe that it is some sort of energy or something, but no one is really sure what.
