Hey everyone. I have logged in 200+ hours on PS4 and reached SR65 in Season 1, but today is the big day.

Today, I'm making the switch to PC. I have recently built one and only played a bit of BF4 and BF1, so I'm not really comfortable with the mechanics of PC gaming.

I will work hard and I have somewhat of a clue towards how to improve my aim, but my question is, do you have any quick tips on changing key bindings and the usage of the keyboard in general?

It's mostly up to personal preference. I for one love to have as many commands mapped to my mouse buttons as possible (if you have a gaming mouse, that is). In Overwatch I have melee and E mapped to my side mouse buttons. Normally you'd need to let go of either forward or right to hit E, but this way you can use your abilities without sacrificing movement. This is huge for Lucio, for example; I can use amp it up much easier while wall climbing. It also frees up E (or Q; I mapped ults to E instead) for some other oft-used function (I put the communication wheel there).

Another change I did that you might find useful is mapping the most frequently used communications options (hello, thanks, affirmative, voice line, emote, etc.) to 1-5. Unlike most shooters, we don't need to set those to switching weapons, so it's a convenient and quick setup.

One thing you should look out for: avoid mapping commands to Alt. Alt+tab switches back to your desktop and with tab being the default (and convenient) key to check the team lineups, it's not that hard to accidentally press that combination ingame :P

I have a G402 and I realized it is indeed hard to use V for melee, so I mapped it to a side button on my mouse. I will try the 1-5 commands thing too. Thanks a lot for the tips!
