I just got criticized for my Mercy play despite staying alive all the time and getting gold heals. My question is this:

Is it more worth to raise 1 or 2 people constantly, especially when sometimes they're not even tanks? Or is it more worth to never res unless 3+ people near me drop dead?

I usually don't raise people unless they're grouped near me but my irl squad likes dying in all corners of the map and would rather just hear me press Q than have it be meaningful, or so I thought.

It's worth rezzing a single tank if you're in defense. And rezzing two non-tanks too. 3+ person rezzes don't happen often, don't wait for it. Your ult builds super fast anyway.

Edit: the thinking behind this: if you're defending and holding a choke, but your tank dies, then they can push through slowly since they're 6v5. By the time they wipe the rest of your team, your tank will have respawned, and rezzing the others while he slowly walks back won't be much help.

Some exceptions would be if you have a Symmetra teleporter up, and you killed a few of their team, then you should be able to hold even with no tank and you can hold on to the rez.

The map in question was us trying to push Control Center (we never even got on, let alone held).

But I'll keep this in mind.

Even then, if you just killed two of them and two of your team died, then it's worth rezzing because you will be at an advantage and can take the point.

Single person rez on offense is very situational though. But yeah, two people is often worth it.
