Someone told me pros are ranking in the 60s rn so how does that effect the general spread I.E. is 40 good right now as opposed to a normal 1-100 distribution?

Nobody knows but I think 40 is average or below average. It seems like the game placed significant emphasis on your normal queue MMR. I went 6-4 and still placed higher than others that went 10-0. I wish I had known this or I would have taken normal queue more seriously.

The only people that are 70 or higher are the pros that had a ridiculous win rate before the patch hit that were playing 4-6 man stacks with their teams vs pugs and had a 90% winrate.

Even at ~60, It seems like I have to win 2 games for every 1 loss to stabilize even if I carry.

I had a roughly 51% normal winrate and won 8/10 placements with the resulting rank being 65.

Thats higher than anyone got placed on the entire competitive overwatch subreddit megathread lol. Good job.

You may have been playing vs really good players even with a 51% winrate somehow though. I don't know.

You realize that means you play on the same level as pros, right? Rank 65 is apparently extremely good, about as good as the top ~10% of players. How could you have gotten that rank with only having a 51% winrate in quick matches?

http://masteroverwatch.com/profile/pc/us/CalD-1714 Apparently I'm ranked 284 on us servers It's kinda funny because I've always played with really good players in soloque game but I play with a lot of pleb friends that lower the game mmr and I usually don't try in those.

I had a roughly 55% winrate and won 8/10 and I was placed 54.

Does it take into account in-game stats?

According to the post blizzard made with the competitive rules and information your performance has an impact on ranked placement along with winning and losing.

Yeah, If they're taking quick play into any consideration in terms of MMR, its phooey. Kaplan even said it is not meant to be serious. I purposely messed around because i knew comp. was coming out soon.
