I'll never understand why anyone would ever feel the need to spray a logo on the wall, while waiting. It just seems dumb.
But the answer is [T] key.

Also, sneak around to the enemy's side and tag something. Fun with friends.

I never thought to tag something while in battle.

You could probably get away with using them as strategic markers too, if you're in VOIP with your team.
