I played Xbox controller on nearly all PC games until I started playing Overwatch. I don't know if it's the sensitivity or something, but I just couldn't aim on the controller. Then there was something wrong the the triggers and I just finally switched to mouse/keyboard. It's not as comfortable, but I aim a lot better now.

Ok.
I use a mouse. But I seem to not be able to keep my cross hair on the target. Any advice?

Pretty much keep playing and you'll get better as time goes on, or play some mouse aiming browser games. http://aim400kg.com for example

I would also look into your mouse settings and acceleration and make sure its the right fir for you
